  • ...stupenda !!!!

  • Cortot is just amazing when it comes to perform Chopin pieces, he is yet aristocratic but restricted, yet sad but emotive, he really capted the soul of the master´s music, this video is unvaluable, thanks for sharing!

  • I know Chopin is supposed to be the tour de force of Cortot but the farewell waltz as played here isn't.... His Schumann is much more poetic...

  • Some pianists fail to capture the person and feelings of Chopin, but Cortot indeed does a splendid job.

  • Magic.

  • I personally believe Cortot is the closest we will ever come to knowing what Chopin himself sounded like at the piano.

    There's something in his blood.

  • @PhillipLWilcher If what you say is true, then he's a great friend of mine!

  • @ChopinXVI It is my thought and belief, yes.

  • i like the PLEYEL. I believe it represents Chopin's music more :) it is somehow a romantic piano. maybe thats why Chopin preferred Pleyel !

  • @develish16 If you are looking for a romantic piano check out Bösendorfer

  • My favourite song comes in at 2:02. :-)
