To a point you are correct. What would you consider prayer to be? I would say it is a collective speaking of peoples desire. Consider Nineveh from the bible: they repented, that is to say turned away from what was unpleasing to GOD in their day. You are right as a man thinks so it will be. So, thinking is important and speaking is a force that releases.
