LOL on the triangular shaped switch. It looks cool but a functional design can still be achieved with a linear sliding switch, left, middle and right. They spent time and money on designing that but could have made the Sony cheaper without doing so.
BTW, what is the advantage of a chiclet keyboard? Why are they using it? They look uncomfortable and the keys are reduced thereby less surface area and makes it harder to type. I prefer the standard compact keyboard.
@puppyjoe69 with the triangular switch it helps reduce the amount of movements to get to one point to another. For example with a horizontal switch to get from left to right you would have to go through the middle, whereas with the triangle switch going from either point is one movement. As for the chic-let keyboard I find I can be more precise with it.
@puppyjoe69 Well, with a normal linear sliding switch you don't have an end stop at the middle position. With this triangular switch you have an end stop in every position so you don't have to flick it "just a bit" to the middle position, you can switch to any position much faster!

well im not a designer or anything like that, i know macs are good for that. im a regular guy. im talking about more like, productivity, funcionality, speed, security, media reproduction, internet, portability, comfort. haha i know its a lot to ask but personaly wich would u like better if u were looking for those qualities.

This looks like awesome VAIO I love the sharp edges! and metal man a metal laptop? that is simply amazing adds so much class to it. Really? I think the silver looks nicer the contrast to the black keys looks great.
Looks like a wicked laptop, I think it looks best in all black, you can see it in black in this video at 2mins. The black always comes out months after.
@shafiqmustafa But did you see the keyboard? What kind of spacing is that?! I have an original Z100 and the keyboard is perfect, but that space in between the keys as featured look like a total nightmare...I can't imagine how it would feel too...
Vaio Z laptops have amazing design and quality. Unfortunately, Sony still includes a lot of unnecessary software that add too much bloat to Windows.

i do not know what your requirements or needs are in a laptop, so could not recommend either or.
For the average person they are better getting a system they are most familiar with (OSX or Windows) so they are immediately productive.
