The first 37 seconds were like single-ended utopia. I never realized a SE 6V6 circuit could produce such clarity with that kind of crunch. It sounds like an old JTM 30 with KT66's, only I would suffer hearing loss with the JTM 30 if I tried to get that kind of crunch in my bedroom "studio" (corner).
Stu, your "Little Wing" sounds good through this amp. I have enjoyed mine very much as well as all of my Swarts and Thank You for bringing Michael and Swart Amps out into the light.
I really liked it. But the guy selling it (on eBay) decided I was getting too good of a deal and swapped out the good tubes for old, beat up cheap tubes and I decided to send it back. Should have just hung onto it and put good tubes in it myself and been happy with that.
Excellent job with the recording! Nice photography as always. Well-done, Stu! Of course, your're still the only one that doesn't call this beast the STR-Tweed but with this recording, it's a moot point. One of the better sound files on the net. Looking forward to more!
Just stumbled on these amps... they sound pretty amazing!

@maxwittebol - that riff is from "Fire In The Dry Grass" by Cry of Love from their album Diamonds and Debris. Great album, sadly overlooked.

Sounds like a 1974x turned up. And a blackface Princeton reverb turned down.

just noticed the speaker must sit behind the front panel with that odd shaped speaker whole.
it makes no sense , might as well put it in a 50's champ box so the speaker isnt obstructed. am i right is that the cae?
cheers for info

@trwigg
I think it was Lenny, unless you're talking about something else. It was Lenny by SRV.

@scrubjay13 I said the same thing! Audley smokes and that riff should be in a Museum somewhere.

Even though I already have the Swart Space Tone 6V6, I can easily see myself with an ST-R in the future. Hopefully in the near future.

It says Atomic Space Tone at the end of the vid - is that wrong, and it should say Space Tone Reverb?

I had the Super Space Tone 30 watt head and sent it back. What a mistake. AWESOME head.

Just curious but why did you send it back?
