The cheapest Mauer one costs something like $50. Do you recommend just buying one?
I could use something like this for the kids - tired of being worried about them getting smacked in the face when the older kids hit the ball....plus nobody can pitch constant enough!
@HaywoodUdume I recommend just buying the Mauer machine. The biggest problem of building your own is coming up with the stand, the tubing is no problem but the stand is difficult to figure out. Given that you won't save that much money you are probably better off by just buying the machine made. Younger kids don't like it as much as older kids, but I can testify for the benefits of using it. Hips rotation and hand speed makes all the difference.
