I played Quake 4 demo, but I realized that buying the full game does'nt make sense, since I play Quake almost exclusively on multiplayer, and older Quakes plus Live have much more servers and awesome communities. And Quake 4 is the only Quake that can't be played on servers for free(you can't connect to a server with Q4 demo, unlike older Quakes).

@GenoSkill Game mechanics. When they created Quake 3, they had multiplayer in mind, whereas with quake 4 it was single player mainly. Consider how jumping and the weapons differ from traditional quake weapons and their usage.

He was still in the top of the quake 3 players at the game's peak (2000-2001).

And Quake 3 duel got probably the strongest aimer ever. Probably even better then Counter strike. Hell just look at Fatal1ty aim when he played counter strike. The guy could destroy them all alone.

The level in Q3 was extremely high btw. I guess except Counter strike no other fps was such pro-oriented.

Quake 4 was like my first fps(pc), not counting the fps setting on racket and clank 2, lol when i first got it,i got a controller with it too cause i didnt know how to play pc games cause i played ps2(360. now, but i play pc more) but eventually i started feeling like the controls suked and so i used mouse and i turned around faster and had better aim and everything, proving to my self that keyboards and mouse is better than a controller,and i WAS a 9 year old n00b,or when ever the game cameout.
