So why is Theta even needed?Why not just just Sin,Cosine and Tangent?

Think of sin, cos, and tan as operations. You have to take sin, cos, and tan of "something", and theta is just one of the symbols we use to represent that "something".

Enjoying the vids, Recently found a huge interest in physics/astronomy etc and have now realised(thanks to Feynman) my understanding is quite limited by my poor math. I had a lack of interest in it in school, i honestly didnt like it at all even though i was quite good at it. Out of interest -are there any areas of math that i wont need to relearn bearing in mind i'm after a greater understanding of the equations in physics etc?

I actually started typing a long response and then deleted it. I don't know if i can answer this question. It's like asking me which letters in the alphabet you don't have to learn since we don't use them that much. Should be skip X,Y, and Z?

i like you teaching style. it's a bit more laid back out and of the typical classroom enviroment. i find i can take it in more the way that you teach.
