To the recent commenters who CONTINUE to talk about being able to sell it for a lot of money...

1. Get a life.

2. Read my other comments. It is a model, that in WORKING condition, sells for less than $10. And this one was broken.

3. Yes, I *COULD* have repaired it. By spending more than it was worth. I have others, it wasn't worth it.

@ndolan999 Um, no. I already had two of these, and tried to sell this one before doing this to it. *NOBODY WANTED IT*, not even hardcore vintage Mac collectors.

If you look at my other video, of two more Macs being shot, I not only offered them up *FOR FREE*, I even said exactly what was going to happen to them if nobody wanted them. I gave people on multiple vintage-computer-collecting websites plenty of time to claim them.

Certain models are just so common as to be worthless if broken.

I remember when the Mac SE with a 20mb harddrive sold for $3500, and a Mac II for 5 grand. People were gaga for them, 10x worse then they are now for iPhones, iPads, MacBooks, whatever. Now nobody will even pay $5 for them, they think of them as complete garbage. The computer is still the same object, it hasn't changed, it still can and does exactly now what it did back then. People's perception of it has changed. All this crap you guys buy today for thosands, fills the landfills tomarrow.

@cobrachoppergirl I fully agree. My five year old daughter plays Math Rabbit and other old education games on my ancient Apple IIc and Apple IIgs. I still use an old Apple PowerBook 520c with refurbished batteries for simple word processing, when I want to be able to concentrate on the task of writing, not get distracted by email/IM/etc.

@weinerschnitzelboy Yup, what I thought. It's not worth anything. Really. It's pretty much the worst version of the "Compact Mac" they made. I bought this one at Goodwill for $5 when it worked, and only did this after it stopped working.

See my "reply" video for two more recent ones. That video even has a 100% working PowerBook getting destroyed. :-D (Again, a model that is universally reviled as the worst PowerBook ever. I got it free, and I'm not even sure it was worth that.)
