one of the greatest compositions the world has ever seen, and prehaps the greatest composition we will ever see. ive listened to many versions of this song. from John Williams to Miles Davis to Hank Marvin. but, i think my favorite version is that of an argentinian guitarist Ernesto Bitetti ,who played almost the exact same thing as John Williams, but something about the way he plays the guitar just makes this already amazing composition just out of this world.
Bardzo piękny utwór.Aby można było go lepiej zrozumieć trzeba wiedzieć dlaczego został skomponowany i dlaczego właśnie miasto Aranjuez. Takie utwory powstają jeden na tysiąc lat.

Chrysler used this song in their commercial back in the 70's when Ricardo Montalban was showing us the Chrysler Cordoba and it's fine coreeenthian leather!

It will cease to amaze me how someone like Mr. Rodrigo, who had been blind from the age of three, could write such beautiful and fantastic pieces like this.
I still favor Sharon Isbon's version of this, but with that said, this is still an excellent rendition of the master piece.
As I explained in the information part. This is a raw video. It wasn't meant to be shown like this but to be edited using footage from all the tour. However I went ahead and uploaded it just to give people a chance to hear it before the editing happens. This beautiful song sublimates the essence of my homeland. I close my eyes and I can see Toledo's narrow streets, I smell the Cordoba's patios, and heard the springs of Granada's Alhambra...
(great interpretation. see also Paco de Lucia concert)
This lady is an excellent oboist also, and she performs it with the better oboists I have heard. It is impassioned! If one of these musicians is flat, it loses everything! And yes the guitarist is excellent also.
The lady playing the oboe in this rendition is much better than the lady performing in the video of Xuefei Yang. I think it is worth a comparison. The guitarists were both wonderful.
@MrMGO1993 The orchestra was based in Pittsburgh, PA of USA, but we had performers from all over the place. Places like Venezuela, Chile, Switzerland, Turkey among others. Most of them were North American though.
This guitar is very well tuned. A well tuned guitar can definitely break or make this perfromance and in this case it was superb. Great job by this composer...

A man on his knees who has lost everything with no reason to hope anymore. Yet he finds the strength to ask "WHY" is he being tortured so much by God. He gets angry at God but at the same time he is begging for salvation from his nightmare!
Hate and love so intertwined that he himself cannot understand what he actually feels. He is so lost in his own self the memories of the past and the future memories that will never come!

One of the best gifts the Spanish people have ever presented the world with. Master Joaquin de Rodrigo
*******
To sociologists and linguists:
Spanish Rodriguez=Spanish Rodrigo= German Rodericus (Hruot+riks)
T'same way:
Torres (like Spain's football player)= Tor (God) + es
López= From English Lope + suffix -ez (es: like)
Gutierrez
********
Just take a look at Spain's premier Rodriguez Zapatero or football player Torres to see Nordic heritage in Spain, along of course with Mediterranean.
