It turned out great, especially under the time pressure you were under. I know this is no small feat. Sometimes faster is better, and I think this is an example. Bravo!
It's oil paint, used with Chroma Archival Classic Medium. I'm painting on stretched canvas that's been toned with a warm grey gesso. I find, as a rule, that oil is much easier to push around in a spontaneous way. Acrylic dries too fast for me. I like to blend and mix as I go.
wow that's so cool i've always painted with music on in the background but this is taking it to another level! the painting looks great! It helps answer that question of where the heck do you look when attending orchestral performances.
