is there an option to appear offline? This is the biggest downfall of this software, so i end up using software the supports this feature but is not as good as fring such as nimbuzz and ebuddy. Add this feature becuase you are loosing customers!!

Hi, I just want to ask You ...How can we use Fring to make phone calls, but not using needly a Wifi connection?.

I tried in Iphone, and is possible to do that, but I can´t in my Nokia N97.

How can I get that fix to put in Fring(symbian)? and make calls using a Sip account ; for example. And call wherever I go using my 3G provider conection.Thanks

Hi, that feature has been existing for Symbian products from the first release of fring. Its all in the settings of your fring. Launch fring, goto-->settings--->connectivit­y--> settings-->choose "WIFI First". This settings connects fring using WIFI if present or goes on to 3G if no wifi available. U can also try " Always Ask" instead of "WIFI first"

in 3.40 I can't preview the picture that I would like to upload as my profile picture. I have a lot of pics and I would like to know which one I'll update as my profile picture. BTW this software is awesome. Thanks!

I've just tested it and it works on my E71.

Options --> Edit my profile --> options --> update picture --> image

you should be able to see the pics.

Ok I am very interested but I live in Australia and we have severe limits on Mobile Phone Data usage some plans as low as 10MB per month So could you please give some clear indication on Data usage - Also I would like to know more on the WiFi connections.

You know it would be helpful if your site listed information that is crucial to controlling spending on a mobile phone instead of making it all look fun and just as easy to download.

Please address this issue with speed.

ey, I'm in Australia too. I have not yet tried Fring but I have friends o'seas who use it. When you enter most shopping centres like Westfield etc there are wifi hotspots around which allow you to use "free" internet. You need to check your mobile phone settings and allow wifi detection, If you are on the wifi connection, you will see a wifi icon probably on the top right of your phone screen.

On previous version 3.37, i could se if the contact was from Skype, MSN, Gtalk, etc, just by looking at the top bar icons. Now those icons are gone, and I have to enter every contact to see what program it is from. That was a BAAAAAD thing to remove... I had to downgrade to 3.37 verson again.

how can you possibly mess up your phone with Fring. Although, the Windows version might have a problem, I have it on my LG Incite and chat is ok but when I try to make a call it freezes up for about a minute. It might be that the phone is not supported yet but it's just another WM 6.1 device. If anyone has an insight on the Incite please comment. Thanks

Hey congratulations for the new version 3.40 its amazing!!! now my Nokia 5800 rocks more than Iphone!!!! developers i have only one question ¿why not accept my count of facebook? show a message fail! I noticed that changed the color of Fringie antenna for grey!!! very smart because they could not see the black background screen!!!

YAY! NEW FRING! I'm not sure if your the developers, but if you are, why not a micro version to throw on older phones. Like the fatter nokias. It would be better for people who first try fring. They wouldn't want to mess up their blackberry, so they would try with a crappy, unneeded phone to test fring to and decide to put it on their good phone.
