  • Hi, i have golden labrador he is about 9 years old, and he have this diseases. How can i help him to walk again what's the best treatment???

  • My dog is beagle, bloodhound, shepard mix and is 17-18 (I've had her 16) years old. 2 days ago she couldn't walk so I gave her an aspirin and it helped in about an hour. Today I gave her an aspirin and the most she could walk is about 8-12 ft to the next bedroom. I took her to the vet and he said the best thing to do would be to put her to sleep. What do you think?

  • @MRXFX91 Very important to rule out other causes of weakness with cbc/chemistry, chest and abdominal radiographs.

  • @doghealthproblems

He did all that stuff. I gave her glucosimine with a baby aspirin and she;s almost fully back to normal.

  • This is a prescription drug and not to be used indiscriminately. If you don't need a prescription for a prescription drug, buyer beware - Dr Sam

  • Hi Dr Sam, my name is Dr Christopher and I am also a veterinarian. I like your video and it is very popular on Youtube! I agree with everything you say and would like to also emphasize the importance of weight control. New studies actually suggest that fat is not only an extra load on the joint but it actually contributes to inflammation in a number of areas in the body, joints included.

  • This gave me a whole new reason to really hammer home the importance of dog weight loss with my readers. You can see my video if you are interested.

  • @dogarthritisdoc1 Thanks for the comment. I will take a look at your video. Sam
