i don't have other dogs to show my dog how to walk on a treadmill, you got any advices how to do it with dogs that don't know and don't have a roll model. If i could train one than i can train the rest, so this video really doesn't make sense to me?
My dog will only go on the treadmill with treats; I've tried to take the treats slowly away but it doesn't help. I can't keep him on it. Can you tell me how to keep them on it?

@max1morgan2 - you must hold the leash close to the dog to keep it from leaving the treadmill, as I mention on the video you stand straddling the dog and hold the leash while the dog learns to stay there...
Thank you for your response. I found when I did hold the leash he would go off the bak and only struggle away from me. So I decided to put the treadmill in a corner and block the one open side and that has been working. Thanks for the quick response! I posted a video of what I was experiencing and what I did to overcome it if you'd like to check it out. Thanks again!
@max1morgan2 - Yes, when I hold the leash initially I have the dog in between my knees and I have the leash kind of pinned to my knee - so the dog has about 6 inches of leash and can't go anywhere. Some panic for a few seconds but realize they can't go anywhere and settle down and walk. Then I can quickly move them to longer leash segments, then step off to the side. Using the wall is a good idea, I thought about building walls on my treadmill but the other human users may object. :)
