  • 3 Dislikes wtf who would dislike this lol

  • haha awesome

  • i love the white wagon at 8 seconds. i will always know my car when i see any pics of it.

  • 0:21 (y)

  • I love GN's and yours def doesnt sound stock. Its cool because Gn's unlike other cars when you're burning the tires they get a crazy.

  • HA!! V6 POWER!!

  • nice !!!! that car is badass !!!

  • The person that disliked this drives a Honda ......

  • @pontiaclives and you drive a fiat 126p

  • I prefer that type of launch/burnout over the traditional, stationary one.

  • Sick burn out man,. love the Gbody

  • man what you got for parts on this?? great burnout by the way.

  • love the laugh at the end. good stuff.

  • woooooooooo that is fucking great ... nice car

  • Man, this is a Turque Monster

  • lol thats some mad shit there and for the mad talk below lol

  • this car is in gta 4

  • yep that's what the GN's do, burn the rubber right off the rims, tons of torque, puts to shame the latest muscle cars out there today hehe

  • Nice

  • lmao the laugh

  • Why the hell doesn't Buick make more of these cars? Just put out a new version of the GN for god's sake.

  • @flamen493 New regal is coming out with a GS possibly, based on the Vauxhall Insignia VXR, and it WILL be available with a manual.

  • Dam dat mothafuckn car got sum balls!

  • so mean

  • The sound of that turbo spooling up is eargasmic.

  • The best turbo buick burnout on youtube

  • i came

  • I never understood how a car with 245 HP could be so fast. Today's cars have 250 and 300HP and are not nearly as fast as the grand national. It wasn't that light either.

  • I think they lied about how much power they really put out plus they weighted less then newer cars. Like the chargers make 375 horsepower but weight like 4500 lbs! <CHargers are still awesome tho

  • @JProckz28 The Grand national weighed 3350lbs and put out 245HP. The 2008 Charger 3.5L puts out 250 HP and weighs 3700lbs. if you compare the 0-60 of the two cars, the difference is 4 seconds. That's huge. Does 350lbs make that much of a difference? I guess the gearbox has something to do with it too?

  • yea gears, stall converters, etc. makes an unbelievable difference

  • they really made over 300 horsepower, and they were just beasts in the torque department. thats your acceleration more than horsepower

  • @flamen493

See I think I know why. Looking into an old book of mine it lists the Buick GNX (I know this is a GN, but stay with me a minute) as having

276 horses... AND 360 lb ft of torque! IT also weighs 3,545 lbs, all to a 4- speed auto. So much torque allows full usage of all the horses.

0-60 in 5.5 seconds which at that time ('87) beat Ferraris and Porsches!

The Grand National I bet has pretty similar figures.

  • @TripleZ89 360lb ft of torgue is alot of torque. I did have a magazine back in the late 80's that had the GNX doing 0-60 in 4.9 seconds. I remember that vividly.

  • lots more torque back then my 88 iroc has 230hp stock but 325 lbs. ft. tq!!! gears and stall converter make up a big difference too!!!!

  • Wow that was nice! Nice car to. I have a 1987 T Type. Check out my videos you wont be disapointed.

  • @mnauto455 Dude I saw your T Type. It looks just like a Grand National!!!! Did it have the same performance as the Grand National?

  • t-type's are basically the same thing as a gn just an earlier verision looks a bit difference but stock they have the same exact motor

  • fuck yeah thats my dream car 1987 buick regal grand national or the gnx hahaha

  • kicks ass,it sounds like a jet taking off!

  • that smoke pours out like water out of a busted fire hydrant.

  • Well, I've seen these v6s beat the shit ou of cars like those. And it still looks good.

  • Thia car is a really great american muscle!!

  • i admit that when i think american muscle i think of NA V8's. i'll demonstrate: 67.5 gt500, olds 442, 60's camaro, and THEN i remember that the GNX is the one that broke the mold and put everyone to shame.

  • gotta love the gn

  • did you see him dump out of 1st. daaaammm

  • 455's are good motors, i had one in a camaro

  • Comment removed

  • ? random considering the grand national uses a 3.l v6

  • i thought it was a 3.8L

  • yea i dnt know why i said 3.1

  • 0:22 dude laugh was goofy as hell

  • @cjdistheman1 That is a fucked up laugh!

  • @cobraman96 indeed LMAO

  • i love the look of that car....has a bad guy feel to it doesnt it??

  • that is one badass car

  • Anyone notice that thing is a 5 speed. Fuckin sick

  • i thinks its a stalled a4

  • mrasrrcom, go to college and work your ass off, u could buy a hundred of em

  • Hail to the mighty GN naysayers!!! My first car was a pristine 87 Nat with 13,000 miles...worked my ass of for that car, still the most fun car I have ever had, and one of the most impressive straight line performers ever from the factory...wish I still had it!

  • oh yeah, that was in 1992...and I failed to mention that you have appropriately shown a great GN burnout, unlike the BB balled one I saw of a guy torquing his up in an inch of water...you should vid reply to his and give him a lesson.

  • That was so cool I wish I had a car like that.

  • You should probably take a ride in one. I bet you will be pretty surprised on how well they run. My buddy 69 chevelle has a 455 in it. He was shocked when he lost to a Grand National.

  • Wow, a 69 Chevelle with a 455?? must have taken a lot of work to do that, because the 455 Rocket is an Oldsmobile. are you sure it's not a 396, maybe even a 427? 454 wasn't put in a chevelle until 1970... hmmm... dunno...

  • Not so much work. You also have to take in account weight to power ratio. Old muscle had heavy chasis, low gears to make them launch halfway descent. The Grand National is engineering at it's finest. That is why they run so good. I like the way a big block runs and sounds but the GN amazes me with the potential it has. Awesome car!

  • He had the 455 put in his Chevelle. It came with a 396, put he pulled the motor and set it aside so he could rebuild it .The 455 he put in to play with it until he got the other motor rebuilt.

  • NICE CAR, No V8 can touch it.

  • nice!

  • im not much of a Grand National guy but what did thay have stock v-6 turbo i thought whach ya got in this beast????

  • dats fucking pimpin bro, nice gnx

  • thats not a gnx no one in their right mind would do that to a gnx

  • Look close, that is a GNX. Good job ChrisBeBallin for noticing the small differences.

  • I miss my 87 as well, how cool is it to be going 85 in the rain and spool it up to a nice sideways slide for as long as you feel like holding it there...driving that car was a privelage.

  • Damn I gott get one of those

  • God damn I miss my 87 GN...

  • damn 1967pmdgto you know youre shit about gn's i wanna get on i was born in 87 so i didnt know much about them ive seen them in car mags but never really seen how they got down but i would love to get one or even a t-type regal and i want to have it tuned like you was sayin with the stall converter and tt chip..i like how the turbo sounds when the gn engine drops its rpm that whistling sound is so intimidating

  • That black paint juss kills me

  • your insane kid, name 1 other car YOU know of that only came in black.

    I rest my case

  • The Ford Model T.

  • Boss12 shitted on you kid. plenty of cars have been available in only one color.

  • shitted so hard he had to go back to the ORIGINAL ford model t the first car made to even think of one for an answer, yea he sure showed me.

and so did you, "plunted of cars" yea so many cars have been available in only black you cant name not a single one off the top of your head with out looking online i bet, moron.

and your replying to my comment over 1/2 a year ago btw rofl!

  • Wow. Cyber testicles. Kid, I spelled that correctly you might want to read it over. I wasn't replying to YOU, conceited, I was replying to Boss12.

  • dat rose up like a gnx

  • nice burn out man, i just wish mine was as tuned as yours to make big horsepower...thumbs up

  • Badass I'd trade all my cars for a GN!

  • how much horsepower is that thing making

  • 587 horsepower and 704 torque.

  • The Torque in proportion to HP is excellent/incredible on these v6s. Even some 455s making 587 hp may only make 600 torque, but some may hit the 704. What's amazing is as you get smaller in engine size, even only down to a 350, you may only make 500 torque with the 587hp. But here we have a 231v6 making Huge-cube/big-block type torque numbers. Lots of ricers when souped up, may only make 1/2 the torque of their HP, so even if they equal our HP, they'll still lose.

  • I was into "brute force" older muscle cars, & still am. Then in the late 80s, was trained by GM for these in the dealer. They're the best of old and new. The SFI & special distributorless ign was way ahead of it's time (about like average car in 2007) in 86-87, it was another 10-15 years before most GM cars had those features. It's like the 231 (v8 with 2 cyls wacked off) has the same torque band of the old Buick V8, & the turbo&tech more than got back lost power for the 2 lost cyls.

  • Don't get me wrong. It's the engine that's special, the turbo simply brings out it's potential. Many engines won't do 1/4 or 1/2 of what this does when you add a turbo to them. & these are some of the only turbo cars that can have a long normal 150k life. The engine is perfect for turboa, low non-damaging rpm range, & the block originally from the old v8 design with no mods -- was beefy enough to handle it.

  • Most "riceboys" that kick their boost up to 15 like these GNs, you only have to worry about seeing them for a month--because they're ricer engine only lasts a month.

  • Wow, That's quite a response. Thanks for your kind words. By the way, this one actually kicks up 29Lbs. of boost!!

  • I saw that on the 29, totally re-enforces proof of the incredible durablilty of these Buick V6s!

  • @1967PmdGto are you fucking retarded? a stock honda engine can handle 6lbs of boost easy, imagine with full internals. EVOs push 13lbs stock and the list goes on. look at jerry built on here, he boosts like a mofo and rarely breaks engine. stop acting like american cars are the best, no car is the best, its all on how you build them.

  • Are you retarded?? 6 PSI is nearly "only" 1/3rd of 15 PSI. If you think your average Honda engine will run a long time at 15PSI, think again. Sure there's engines that can handle it, but you'll have to pay for it--look at the cost of an EVO which YOUR KIND will probably never be able to afford. I'm not fast food workin garbage acting like I know about cars. I made over 100k a year for 10 years as a tech, before retiring into "investments". THAT WAS NOT BY BEING RETARDED.

  • @1967PmdGto my kind, and what is that? a car enthusiast or someone who has dedicated my whole life to cars? and by the way ive never worked at a fast food place, strictly auto shops. i have seen imports boosting 15lbs on a daily driver for years, you just need to know how to build. you could make all the money on the world and still be a retard. just look at what your comment says, "your kind" thats not something an educated person would say.

  • @1967PmdGto thats probally because there were not built right, i mean comeone my buddy civic is turned up to 27 on race gas but he has it turned down because its a daily driver. and all them supra's and other cars that are running 25,30 something like this car its becase THERE BUILT RIGHT, nice car btw hpjim

  • @1967PmdGto I've been running 26 lbs. of boost on my gn for years. 15lbs is basically stock dumbass.

  • @JOHNWAYNE1920

Wow what a RETARD. Learn how to read/comprehend before commenting/making an ass of yourself "Brook" <--you're as much of a candyass as your sissy name.

I never said 15PSI wasn't the stock rating, IT IS the stock rating for a GN. I worked in the dealership for 10 years making well over 100k per year, before buying investments & retiring to do this for fun. I was heavily GM trained/specialized on GNs. My success wasn't from being dumb, nor you being min wage by being smart.

  • @1967PmdGto First of all, making fun of my name, what are you 12 years old. 2nd, who gives a shit how much money you make? Whats that got to do with anything? For what it's worth, I make a lot more than that, but don't feel the need to brag about it in a post about turbo boost? I misread your comment, and I apologize, but you really made an ass of yourself with your name calling and braging about money. What a joke. Dry your eyes and go tell others about all your money.

  • @1967PmdGto you are fag god

  • @danelio

Wow intelligent comment. You're just another early 20s piece of sissy/pansy-ass garbage who probably voted for YoBama, & will be fast food working min wage garbage for life & always rent, BOY. You probably wear your pants down to your knees & drive a civic w/a fart can and 200mph spoiler despite a top end of about 90. You're also just another PC coward, another Internet tough guy who's never been in a fist fight in his life let alone had the balls to call someone a fag to his face.

  • @1967PmdGto haha, you clever queer. all the shit you wrote is real thoughtful and original. and can you elaborate on the 200mph spoiler part. i didn't really understand that. and im surre you tell people all the time that "you probably wear your pants down to your knees & drive a civic w/a fart can....bla bla blah",cuz thats your only insult but i actually drive a turbo golf cart and it has two four inch exhausts. and a huge three foot spoiler..and im sorry i hurt your poor lil feelings FAGGOT

  • @danelio

Ha Ha Punk, yeah right, my life is good. No boss, can afford the time/money to work on cars whenever I want, travel the world, retired many times over.

You, you're just low income fast food working garbage. All little sissy pansy asses like you will have in life is YOUR SISSY GAY MUSIC AND GAY VIDEO GAMES. <--I bet that's 23 hours of your day, and yet some punk like you is gonna tell a GM certified tech of 20 years about cars?? LMFAO. Have fun being poor FOR LIFE working for a BOSS!

  • @1967PmdGto and you lomaoo ur car sucks and u got money to do all that shit huh well im 21 and got a trust fund so stfu lmao i can buy ur car and anyother car i want stop calling ppl ricers u old fuck

  • @1967PmdGto you are just angry cuz you're a bitch who likes to stick big black dildos up his ass. listen man...good job with your traveling the world and what not. you sound pretty proud, and i dont really care how good you got it or whatever...but...i am my own boss also and at 22 years of age, being fit and pretty decent looking,,,i get lots of pussy, i drive fast, i dont fiend for money and my life is great. go fuck your self.

  • @danelio

And not that you're even worth the time, i mean GAWD YOU ARE DUMB. But the spoiler comment was making fun of little pansy ass faggots (usually in their early 20s) who have home made spoilers that don't even take affect/help until a speed higher than the top speed of their little candyass ricer that goes 90mph. Factory spoilers are great---they've been tested in a wind tunnel. But if yours is home made and not tested in a wind tunnel, then you are a candass faggot DUMBASS.

  • @1967PmdGto wow so kool ricer my nuts homo and mony hahaha ur a fucking joke

  • @nikkiandfrankie Saw your car.. it suk.. saw your girl... obvious slut.. hope your trust fund can buy you a better car and a better looking girl. Now go drive that piece of shit off a cliff.... leave the girl in it....

  • @badlilstang 1st off im the only man my wife been with 2ed off i got 6 cars and 3ed off take ur old head out ur ass because ur a fucking limp dick old shit and look old man go run ur old ass in to a tree u fucking pig fucker ur a internet shit talker with no life dipshit your mother should swallowed ur ass

  • @nikkiandfrankie Seriously man.. your wife is super hot and your car is super cool.

  • @badlilstang amd ur car is shit lmao old ass auto its not even a stick hahahah ur a fucking idiot and ur in TX so am i dickinson TX fucking pussy where u at if u think ur car is so much better then lets run fuck boy shit my wife said she beat u what a loser

  • @nikkiandfrankie LOL keep commenting this is funny.

  • @nikkiandfrankie No disrespect, but the GN is a classic beast. You can't argue against that point.

  • @danelio hay fuck them old ass faggits man u where right old ass men talking out there ass

  • @1967PmdGto alrite u faggot grand nationals r not rice cars lemme guess u like ur gay ass civics well a GN cud whop there ass stock plus they look 10x nicer and noone rices them out well noone in there right mind so y dont u jus go learn sumthin bout cars then start commentin bout the great GN uk y they got put outta production. cuz they were faster then the corvettes and they didnt want that so y dont u go and learn sumthin bout cars then come and tlk to me dumass

  • @bikakid85

You are the BIGGEST RETARD in 100s I've come across EVER on YT. You've never kissed a girl have ya?? You and your parents shoulda been shot at birth, shown by you using "u" 20 times like a retarded pansy ass. YOUR COMPREHENSION IS TERRIBLE.--Cos I worked in the GM dealer for years on Buick GNs, I was the GN guy, was trained/EDUCATED on'em, made 100k a year, etc. I HATE RICE, I've always worked-on/owned GM cars like these. Take a look at my 100% GM & Buick page YOU RETARDED DUMBASS.

  • @bikakid85

Educated??? Again very educated/trained SPECIFICALLY ON THESE CARS, made 100k a year working on these cars. PUNKASS SISSYS LIKE YOU STRUGGLE TO CHANGE YOUR OIL---THE BIGGEST JOB YOU'LL EVER DO. Pull your pants up QUEER---they're down to your knees.

  • You could almost be mistaken for Jim Wagners, that or Jim Hand. How did you get your info for the turbov6? Just wondering, i like to do alot of reading and you seem to enjoy these too. Hit the reply button and let us know.

    BW

  • Wow, thanks for the compliment, Jim Wangers, 1 of my top heroes! A friend of mine & me, had early 70s Pontiac 455s around 1983-87 (I still do). He bought a 87 GN, we learned on that car from GN EXPERTS like Lawrence Connelly in late 80s TX. I got my GM automotive education from 1987-90. Perfect timing, heavily trained on GNs as they were the future technology that ALL GM cars would have 10 years later--like SFI on my 96 Bonneville 3800.

  • I got hired at a Buick dealer in 1990. There were service bulletins saying "If you techs get a GN with a computer, no-start issue, or dirvability issue, DON'T TOUCH IT, call an engineer for assistance". I was trained to touch them! Luckily the service manager gave me a shot. It gave me GREAT job security, as in the beginning this was the only area I could beat the experienced mechanics in--GNs gave them hell, I loved'em!

  • I am so wanting one of THESE before they get too expensive, hard to believe they're now 21-22 years old, up goes the price after 20 years. I'm working on some very large commission business deals, hope to close one in time to acquire 1 of these. My first car was a 77 Olds wagon with a 403 that I had beating most everything in the school, LOL. Then a 73 Grand Prix w/455 (1960s parts on the 455) I still own 21 years later. Need a GN in my portfolio!

  • You should definitely get a 86/87 turbo buick to enjoy while they are fairly cheap right now, well, the market is down and everyone thinks price of gas mandates what type of car they should own... Those people are sheep LOL

I just couldnt pass up the name, and comment, seems like you know your stuff, reminds me of me. Grew up around pontiacs and own 86/87 turbo buicks. That hp bug gets expensive :) w w w d o t 1320video d o t c o m car video site thats awesom

  • Yes 86/87 my favorites, best factory state of tune, Intercooler--makes HELL of a difference. I'm very impressed with the prices so far on the market, & lots of them out there thanks to the Net. The gas mileage, oh my god I could rant until I'm blue in the face. These things could knock off high 20s maybe even low 30s if babied on the HWY, incredible. But the politically correct dick beaters & anti-muscle or american car people, don't want you to know things like that.

  • Yes, i know all about that, sold 3 of my 10th anniversary trans ams for 20th TTA's. Sold my 70 1/2 blue on blue T/A 4speed 12 bolt ra/III car for a few buicks over the last 10 years. Im not kidding, the damn buicks are addictive, very kind on the wallet if you can get into it right

  • There are many many aftermarket parts available for these cars, im sure you know about them. My daily driver 87 runs good enough to beat a supercharged 02-03 ZO6 Vette on the street, and much better at the track. AC, RADIALS and comfort. Plus being paid for is a extra bonus :)

  • & soooo many tricks that work, even in the 80s/90s when I was heavily into them. Now it's much better. Had a friend put a larger Ken Belle turbo on a 87T-type years ago. Car was stock, actually got slower--like a car with too much cam would. Then gets a 3800 stall. Dropped into 12s, daily driver by the wife! I swear this car would drive normal at a normal rpm like a regular converter. The only difference was at WOT! Great combo, larger turbo & a stall. & that was early 90s.

  • Those T/As with 3.8turbos, this pisses me off & you won't believe it, if you don't already know. I've heard from inside GM--they didn't continue those 3.8 TAs longer, because - Pontiac engineers just never felt comfortable working with a non Poncho motor. I say--as apposed to Frickin what??--A Chevy motor, when Pontiacs hadn't had their own engines since 1981 anyway (with exception of 2.5 4cyl). That's insane, as I'd think they'd welcome a Buick over a Chevy.

  • That's probably just a front. The real truth could be--GM prefers a Chevy motor as there's always been catering to Chevy. They told me in GM school .. in 86 GM said to Buick--you can't have a comfortable Buick kickin the shit out of a Vette so detune it. They did, it still stomped a Vette. So you know that would not have sat well, and 2-3 years later there'd definitely be people in GM frowning at--that engine was still around, & now going in a Pontiac.

  • Very nice, keeped it in control after going over that bump.

  • just awsome
