How many times a day can you load the disc and how long do you have to wait til' the next time you can load it? The PS2 I have is fussy so I usually have to wait a while about a day or a while before I can run the disc's program again.

@Firemasterlucky5 i can load it as many times i want, i dont have to wait a second if i want to turn it off and reload it again, so just make sure all the sensors are properly blocked specially the one that u have to open ur ps2. its better if u use the sticky putty thing to block the sensors, the walmart have them for like 99 cents.

@kevin3180 I have them blocked fine. My disc works sometimes. Sometimes twice at a time but then I have to wait a few hours or 24 hours for my selective PS2. Sometimes I get in the browser. I can easily get past the logo but sometimes it just goes fast, just slow, or goes fast and slow w/o loading the screen and stopping. The screen was blank. The PS2 actually turned itself off for doing it too long. As proof, I've seen it speed up, slow down, and stop after it got to the screen and it worked b4

Hi, I've just bought swap magic 3.6 plus and I have a problem, when I put the dvd in my SPHC-70011 ps2 it doesn't boot, it keep get me back in the browser and say no-data. Can it be my laser, I also hav e problem to play rockband and other games. But the SM cd work fine. PLEASE HELP ME!!!!!

it has to be on DVD-R found out that (atleast my) ps2 won't read anything else DVD+r/rw DVD-rw with these you get the red screen and to be sure burn the copies with 4.0x speed if still doesnt work then you got proplem elsewhere. found it out after 10 copies and with hours of research

u dont really need 2 disks, but when u order swap magic they send u the DVD and CD, for almost every games u use DVD, and for games like crazy taxi u use CD or if u want to load backup Action reaply, or codeshark, u can use CD for those. but for the most part u use DVD.

are the sensors blocked? that might be the main reason why it doesn't spin with the lid open, next when you boot the swap magic the disc should stop spinning, take it out then put in the game you want to play then simply hit normal.

Doesnt work for me... the DVD version of 3.6 doesnt work on my PS2 slim SCPH-77004 but the CD version works... I tried my DVD version on some1 elses ps2 and it worked ( A fat ps2 slim ) I have swap magic 3.6 PAL And I live in europe and the backside of my ps2 slim also is PAL so thats no the problem, What can I do? i have SCPH-75001, the old ps2 slim and i use Swap magic 3.6 it works flawless, anyway i think your ps2 is the newer version so try getting the newer Swap magic as they now call it a Coder or something like that.

Usually when theres some mod chips etc. people talk about BACKUPS, because there is nothing illegal with them unlike pirated games.

In other words you can play burned games which means you can play original, backups, pirated and imported games with boot discs such as Swap Magic.

no, you can use any types of DVDs, i never used DVD+R before i only used DVD-R, so i dont know the difference. but what i do know is that DVD+R are expensive then DVD-R, so just go get some DVD-R and you're good to go. any brand will work. i will try DVD+R and let you all know the difference

Actually Kevin, you can get something called the Magic Keys which are cheaper and quicker to install for $5.00 (shipping included so $5.00 USD total) from ps2repair - dot - com. I found it on an aol image search. My step-mom finally ordered it  yesterday btw so I should be playing my import soon (if the swap disc work). And even though magic keys aren't usually American the American site I mentioned sells them from America for USD.

if u have black slim ps2 like mine, there are two way u can block'em, one way is to put straw in it to block the third one but like i said its pain in the a**, another way is to block two easy sensors and then open up ur ps2 and block the third one with tape or something that'll hold that third sensor down, but note that u'll have to remove ur warranty seal to open it. thats what i did and its worth it.

Thanks for the tip about where to buy it. How did you block out your third sensor b/c it was clearly fully open and it didn't look like the magic keys unless you use a magic switch set, but it was white like a balled up piece of paper and a piece of cardboard? Is the DVD just for backups meaning the CD (compact disc) is for imports or is DVD for newer version backups AND IMPORTS? Thus meaning the CD would be for older games. When I got the discs in the mail, there was the DVD-3.6 & CD CODER-3.8.

maybe now that ps2 are getting old, a modchip maybe a better option

btw some games may not work because its ripped incorrectly or it maybe a dual layer thing, especially 3.6 is new and should be compatiable with most stuff

as for it screwing up, i highly doubt it, its based on good technician and good quality chip

i remember as a kid when i had a psx (psone) i had it chipped (i.e some guy opened it up to screw around inside of it) but still works well, my friend DIDN'T get it chipped so theoretically should be perfect condition, yet he had to take it to get repaired
