a few things you should consider when flying a nitro plane, 1 pre flight checks, 2 engine checks whilst running, pick it up and point it to the sky then throttle it up to test fuel air mixture is correct, 3 always check wind direction, and take off into the wind, 4 let the plane take off with minimal elevator input, once at a good alt make short taps on the rudder or aileron with slight up elevator to make a succsesful turn, keep the plane in front of you and fly in a circut pattern, good luck
Crashes sort out the men from the boys. Dust the plane off, re-build it & don't make the same mistake. Find yourself a friend whos an experience flyer who has a buddy cable and compatible radio. Also, get a flight simulator. Of course you already might be a good flyer who just had a bad day take care.
Nice to see someone else taking up the hobby. Best advice is to join a club and spend time on a simulator. It will save you a lot of time and money. Have a look at my videos.
It's scary, there's only 1 way to remove the glow plug batt, with your hand! Gotta be careful there.
Doesn't look like much damage, you can fix it up and get it up pretty quick. Have you gotten it fixed up yet?
It was a great flight while it lasted, maybe next time take it up higher and do simple circuits, then come in for a few touch and go landings to get a feel for it.
sounds really rich to me, almost 4 strokin

Wasn't that bad of a crash, but next time don't fly directly at you... until you get some practice in.

Prop safety will be learnt, as will making sure the plane is properly secured on engine start. We all get bit at least once.

I cringed watching you reach over that prop. Maybe it was just the angle of the shot, but it's good you didn't take a hit.
