  • almost an hour

  • in my eyes, anything over 50lbs is out of control. 80lbs, thats just dumb packing.

  • @sandman503 And you arent nearly as well equipped when you get there as nutn is.

Its the same age old arguement, firepower vs mobility

  • nutn shoot more in HD

  • Epic this is sooo cool, I just like to go to "all videos" scroll down the list and play one I have not seen yet. There are so many great videos, and not enough time to watch them all!

  • I love that quote that you said, "The soul is getting filled."

  • holy shmoly at 1:34 i dont know how raods dont get washed right out during the run off season

  • Reviewing this video..thanks Nutnfancy for all the efforts you ´ve done for your followers. With all respect, almost consider you like family

  • very inspirational glad i live in oregon where i get to enjoy sights like this iif anyone is around oregon and want a greatt hike look up seven lakes badin pct (pacific crest trail)

  • Beautiful scenery!

  • bear country, wow we dont get exciting animals like that here in the uk (god i hate it) where abouts is this colorado?

  • hahah so manny jokes nice

  • I wish I could go out and backpack so bad. Thanks so much for bringing the outdoors to a college student with a crazy schedule, but it just isn't the same :(

  • I don;t know if its me or if I am living in the wrong area Nutn, I believe that it's because I am in California. Dude, this state has gone to complete uber hell. People here freak out over the smallest things, even with guns man. This state I have to say is extremely anti-gun and anti-second amendment. You know, why don;t they live in England then if they hate guns and self defense so much. I want to go to the midwest and seek like minded folks but unfortunately like others, limited resources :(

  • I just wish there were more younger women out there that were into this stuff. 90-95% of them are into tampons, shopping, clothes, shoes, and getting their hair styled. If they are happy doing that only, then that's great. But, its a downer to young guys like me because our options to find women will be more difficult :( . Sometimes i wish your dogness Allie was human. Hopefully you get the chance to make more classic snow hiking vids like this. Take care dude, YOU ARE AWESuuuume ^_^.

  • @MrStargazer450 well, why wouldn't they be into tampons...

  • @MrStargazer450 Well if they arent into tampons then somthing is very wrong....

  • I'm always in aw.....pfffff

  • Uh Oh, Nutnfancy stepped on dog poop.

  • Comment removed

  • i want to go backpacking in colorado so bad, but i don't have nearly as much gear as nutn

  • "Dude , I had my mouth open"

  • BTW nutn; going on a hike with you is on my bucket list.

  • I wish so bad I could be in your area; I'm in Kansas... :( still some beautiful country in its own respect but not really hiking country. My first experience was Spanish Peaks in CO during a Boy Scout trip. It is definitely an exhilarating experience. Part of the problem with some people now days is they have no yearning, nothing to live for

  • Think this is about my 10th time watching these vids, love them!! just back from my own weekend hike and looking to plan the next :)

  • What is there not to like about the video. The beauty of nature, the friendship and of course Alley. I go pack-backing and about 3 1/2 miles is a pond. Even there Heavenly Father has provided the beauty. We just has to take the time to see it. As you put it, cleansing the soul. Thank you for the video

  • @DennyRec Thank YOU for watching. Have fun on your trip to the Rockiet...be safe and have a great time! -- Veri (Nutn's sister)

  • Bookmarked! YAHH! your videos are like blair witch projects but exclude the fear, falseness, and hyped marketing. However, it includes real life scenarios and meaningful backpacking, camping, and survival tips.

  • loved cr0cket20 in this video, feel free to roll him into future vids!

  • Can't wait to get the last bits of my gear then a cheap-o junk first car so i can go hiking and camping on my day off's.

  • There is a lot of knowledge in this video that I can appreciate after going out in the woods and doing it wrong. I feel I have made every mistake that NF talked about from boots to rain gear.

  • the smaller trees don't break cause they bend.

  • lol nutn always has gas for TNP guests

  • Pack light, freeze at night.

  • If filming is tough go to the gopro for your adventure vids chest straps to film from your chest head straps for 1st person

  • I gotta say Nutn, I'm envious of all of your trips

  • hÍhi_Âny_gÚys_wàNt_tó_chat_wÎth_mÊ

  • Woah..I don't remember that intro at all hahah. Nicee

  • EXCELLENT! I love the diversity of your videos. I gained most of my tactical awareness and survival mentality deep in the sierras and it all blossomed from that. great vistas

  • Love your videos, I am in the Pennsylvania Army National Guard serving as a Infantryman. But I basically grew up in Philadelphia. As a city boy I don't know much about hiking and camping in the wilderness except what I did in the military. But I do a lot of walking logging at least 8 to 10 miles a week. Your videos are an inspiration to me and I want to tell you that I support the TNP.

  • I sit here for hours and watch these adventures waiting for the day when I can go on some myself.

  • 27:20 LMFAO

  • What trail/mountain is this?

  • I am running out of time right now at min15 of your vid, awesome btw!

A few times I've tried howling this kind of load uphill, after 5 km I'm dead meat.

Canadians that I've hiked with usually travel in the "lean and mean" style,

by this time in the clip they'd be half way up the hill already.

  • 80# Pack!?! I thought I packed heavy.

  • WHERE OH WHERE ARE YOU?! SOOO GORGEOUS....MUST VISIT!!

  • Cr0cket20 is a badass! Nutnfancy is a badass! This video is badass!

  • Nutn, im becoming a camper guy and your the helper i learn lots of stuff from your the guy thankyou-joe

  • Fans, make sure to watch all 4 parts of Glacier Call! I didn't know there were 4.

Nutn, easy for me to say I know, but you GOTTA do more videos like this. This was awesome. Thumbs up so everbody reads!

  • you talk about your camera geting wet , how about you try an aquapac its a waterproof case , i think thay are made here in the uk . Thay make cases for all sorts of gear

  • Dude.. awesome video... That looks like so much fun.

I need to get out more often.

  • 29:35 allie falls on her face

and 17 people missed the like button

Great video, looking forward to the rest of them ^_^

  • handguns are useless against bears (unless really hi-power like 44 or 50)

9mm will bounce off from a bear, your actually better of whit a knife and thats pretty desperate, bear sprays are the best option after rifle. scary shit

  • Thanks Nutnfancy for bringing such great footage and realism/inspiration to others. A fellow sheepdog here - My heart goes out to your group - especially your mountain dog. Your experiences/knowledge sharing is greatly appreciated. I watch with awe and respect at what is accomplished. I hope you continue doing what you do.

  • lol at 40:21!!! nutn you cant be beat dude.

  • so peaceful

  • 17 douchebags gave this video a thumbs down!! HATERS

  • I really loved this video! I love the wilderness and have never backpacked up that high. Thanks for sharing and teaching others about what live really should be. E-

  • dear nutnfancy,

I am thirteen, parents divorced mother remarried and she married a wuss thats a jerk. my parents get angry when i ask for knives or wilderness gear. i used to camp all the time but the guy my mom married doesnt let me anymore. you said in a previous video about your dads teaching you survival and wilderness skills but i have no influence. you are kinda like a secondary dad type deal. i watch your vids for hours straight and love them. you have majorly influenced my life. thank u.

  • @chakra177 bro it's the same way with me, lol parents divorced and i havent been camping/backpacking since..

  • @chakra177 Great comment dude, how old are you?

  • @chakra177 im 13.......but still have to be the man of the house. and dont worry im not an annoying kid...im actually pretty mature for my age

  • @chakra177 hay you keep your head up and stay strong things will get better for you

  • @chakra177 The guy your mother married isn't your father. Someone ought to remind him of that. I always resented my step-father trying to impose his screwed-up values on me, especially since I already had a father who I saw regularly.

  • @chakra177 man...i hope he read that...

  • @chakra177 i am 14 but my parents love the outdoors so do i. I am sorry for you not that you have not herd this before keep being strong it must be hard to be the only man in the house your step dad is not your dad he is your moms husband.

  • @chakra177 same here buddy, im 13 and im taking my first backpacking trip this 4th of july but im going with a friend because my dad isnt alive anymore to teach me and go with me so i have to be self reliant and independent

  • @chakra177

Wow..amazing post. Hope you can go hiking with a buddy n' their fam. or something!

  • @chakra177 You have my sympathy friend. Save your money so when you get out of the house you can get those cool things right away.

  • @chakra177 just set down and tell your mom that the outdoors is what you love and see what you can figure out

  • @chakra177 Young people who don't have an outdoors mentor should consider going to the community center and joining the outdoors clubs. The clubs will get you out there for skiing, boating, hiking, etc. friendship and quality life experiences.

  • YOOOO mr nuntnfancy!!! send me an awsome TNP T-shirt!!!!!!

  • @BLUEDEMONSR Go earn money, and buy it youreself.

Just asking gets nothing, you have to earn it.

  • @Kylef7735 mind ur own sh*t beast!!! never say want it for free, f*ck off and get a life

  • @BLUEDEMONSR Youre asking nutnfancy for stuff without earning it, and you are telling me to get a life??? Seriously???

If you want a TNP T-shirt, go to his page, at the top of his "Gear Links" section you will see a website where you can buy them.

  • @Kylef7735 Damn man !!! sorry for all the crap that i just wrote. i was in a very bad day!!!! yes you re right, but again didnt mean get it for free, yes ill visit the page!!! sorry dude PEACE!!!!

  • @BLUEDEMONSR Lol, its all good dude.

  • Im totaly coming here

  • Great video, I need to start doing thing's like this!

  • Where are yall hiking at?

  • @MeisterJager90 Rocky Mountains

  • @MeisterJager90: I have the GPS coordinates of several of Nutnfancy's locations. This one was easy. It is Mount Timpanogos, or "Timp" as the locals call it. I have done it 4 times in my life, and it is indeed VERY beautiful.

Since Nutnfancy has gone to great lengths to hide is many other locals, I won't divulge them here. However, his "knife clinic" is also not too far from his neighborhood; and it is not as secluded as he says it is. I have hunted near there. He takes a long way.

  • Nutnfancy you are so fortunate to live so close to these beautiful places! I went backpacking in the spring at Mt Rainier, it was so gorgeous, very similar to the scenery in this video. You put it so well, "it fills the soul", thats exactly how it feels to live with nature like this.

  • Nutn,

Love the outdoors videos! Tacticals are outstanding also of course, but the backpacking ones seem more the real you. Thnaks dude!

  • nutn do you have a therma-rest wrapped inside another sleeping pad? Good idea!

  • Allie the Mountain Dog is the luckiest (and probably the happiest) dog in the world!

  • As wise man once told me, "You should never explain yourself to fools, because you bring yourself down to their level." Hey, Nutnfancy, don't waste time explaining yourself to these fools. If you want to grow out your beard and some idiot wants to go grade school on you and say, "you both are growing your beard out, or hey why aren't you in shape?" Just Tell them, get a life brother. You are very appreciated by a bunch of us in Washington. Don't explain yourself to them.

  • NF is waxing lyrical in this one!

  • Thanks for posting this one nutn, anyone who has ever done hiking of this caliber before understands the difficulty, much less the time and effort to film it all. Awesome vid man as always.

  • he's like bear grylls !

  • @SupremeAmerican No he isn't!!!

You can take Nutnfancy's advice to the bank and put in a long-term deposit.

Bear Gryll's "advice" may get you killed.

Plus Nutnfancy seems like a modest and likeable guy. He doesn't inflate his personal experiences to make himself sound tougher than he really is, nor does he clown around like a lunatic.

They both enjoy the outdoors - that's the only similarity I see.

  • @bluenoserr Oh well, i dunno if im gonna get that super serious about nutnfancies 'advice'. I like guns and all, but, i am not one of those 'tactical' types. They all do the same thing, fling a rock out of a tube at high speed. :D

Yeah nutnfancy does seem to be like a great guy, upstanding and genuinely good character. And if you ask me, hiking camping and shooting guns are some of the best hobbies a man could have, so i aint gona bash the guy ! He's experienced in these things, so rock on.

  • @SupremeAmerican More like a well equipped les stroud.

  • Fav part of this vid 19:22 "the soul is getting filled ..." hummingbird flyby LOL love it

  • classical nutnfancy vids

  • lol love this dog!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! <3

  • Poor Crocket20 did Nut ever shut up during the trip If he was n't talking out his mouth it was out his but passing gas lol . Not insulting Nut just messing with you guys great video

  • encore!

  • making survival / cobra stitch bracelets don't take that much time.........

  • So is this location a "Nutnfancy eyes only" top-secret? I see you went outta yer way to avoid filming the trailhead sign! Come on Dude! tell us where it is and I'll tell you a top secret California hike with equal or better scenery!

One suggestion to your excellent hiking series- reagarding the firearm- hows about a primer on the laws for open carry in the various parks (state, federal, BLM etc)??

  • @callapygian This is one of the most hiked trails in the state within which it is located. If you are from this aforementioned state, then you know immediately what that hike is (and what trail head it is). What I am saying, is that I know (as I am sure many of the other TNPers do), so I doubt he went out of his way to hide the trailhead sign. But until he comes out at says it himself, I will help maintain the secrecy.

  • hey what is the music in the background

  • Ya man that Paracord survival Bracelet is called the King Cobra Stitch. the Cobra weave in the inner bracelet that the King Cobra Encompasses. a standard cobra contains 6 feet of single strand weave and 1 foot of the inner cord that serves as your knot and loop. the king cobra outer weave is equivalent to about 9 more feet of 550 paracord. (1 bracelet averages 16') I make these for myself and am looking towards producing them for a profit. (also can make lanyards, watch bands, even belts)

  • Looks like 14 people accidentally missed the thumbs up button.

    We forgive them.

  • Ohhh how I envy you !!!! hahaha another great vid! ,\m/

  • Is it me or did the tree with flowers at 19:47 have the words "July 90" carved in it? It kind makes want to put a message in a bottle in the middle of a forest.

  • Ali! Love your dog! I say that all the time! I might be gettin a black lab! But I love all of the TNP too!

  • long ass video

  • @TheCrazzyflyingbird dont worry you will get use to it

  • Great vid man. You seem to have a very versatile life style. I wish I could hike more often.

  • crocket a psu alumni?

  • Great vids. May I ask what sort of FAK were you packing? Level I, II or other?

  • Your dog is so cool, how she transforms from house dog to mountain dog.

  • Hey Nutn awesome movie here, it's epic ha. I was wondering if you had some advice on training your Allie the Berg Dog? Maybe where you got the trainin techniques and what not.

  • Congratulations nutnfancy on being on the featured videos. Your journeys encourage me!

  • Hey Nutn, congrats on being Featured on the YT home page! Nice to see you're getting recognition for how popular the Project is becoming.

  • WHAT BEAUTIFUL COUNTRY. NUTNFANCY, YOU ARE BLESSED.

  • outstanding!

  • hey nutnfancy can you review this knife its pretty inexpensive on amazon its called: S&W homeland security cksurc survival knife there are only a couple of reviews on youtube so id like to see you do one

  • very good stuff, nutnfancy. you seem to be very in tune with what a lot of ppl are missing in their daily lives and ur vision is refreshingly clear. rock on.

  • damn looks nice ,can me and some friends tag along :D

  • hey, at 19:50 there is something carved into that tree.

  • aw why'd you change the name just glacier call was cool

  • Nutn is Rambo

  • Nice you got some good still shots

  • you and all your backpacking buddys should go up there for a months and do a full season of it. your 80,932 TNPers would love to help sponsor it. you can mabey open a paypal account and we can save some pennys for it.

    thumbs up if you agree.

  • @theghoulnerd Yup i would love to see that

  • @theghoulnerd 80000 people on a mountain? might not be so remote anymore....

  • @Shambles940 no i ment that we (TNPes) will help pay for the trip.

  • Dude! I really really dig your Nature vids! You rock! (btw I don't speak like this - just learning the TNP vernacular -haha)

    Thanks for sharing!

I feel so relaxed just watching and listening to the sounds of the mountain streams, I'm sure the air is rejuvenating up there!

  • Just did 20 miles on the Appalachain Trail. Vids comming soon. Crocket!!!! showin the Penn State Love. WE ARE PENN STATE!

  • Not to knock Croc, I mean I'm sure he knows what he's doing, but only carrying a quart of water at a time just seems crazy. But then again I live and do most of my hiking in the southwestern deserts, so hydration needs are much different here.

  • @MrVoiceofreason123 Good point. Where I go depends on how much I carry. Did a canyonerring trip in Zions and brought 9 quarts for just a 9hr trip. No water available on that one (and reached over 100F). This area, lots of water. Just the way I role.

  • @Cr0cket20 Yeah man, that's totally understandable. I just can't believe there are some places where water is just everywhere haha. I can't wrap my head around it!

  • Another great video series from the one and only nutnfancy. thanks brother!

  • Great video of what looks to be a great hike. Always like seeing Allie the Mountain Dog. Thanks guys!

  • Human threat level 0? I'm sure that's what those dudes in Deliverance thought too, until they were squealing like a pig.

  • @sexcation That's also a film

  • how many days were you out on this adventure

  • You're crazy. That's way too heavy.

  • Dang wish I had places to go like this.

  • Mr. nutnfancy, i love ur videos and i have been watching them for a long time. I have also hiked and can only imagine how hard it must be to film while hiking. Thanks and keep on putting up vids.

  • Nutn, you have the most awesome vids on YouTube! I really like this "Glacier Call" series and the 'semi' reviews that you do on the gear that you and Crocket20 and Allie are carrying. Keep up the good work! I'm a forever fan!!

  • Hello , beautiful sites . I have to ask while you've been out in all these places have you ever saw any thing that you would label paranormal / Alien in nature ? Respond to me privately if you would rather .

  • great job man, i enjoy all the videos

  • Ok so real quick question and anyone feel free to answer, I have always caried an internal frame pack but it looks like nutn's was external, what atvantages other than preferance do they offer?

  • hey nutn

do you opt to bring enough water for a full days hike?

or because your hiking somewhat familiar territory just bring some water and filter from lakes or streams during hike?

  • it does appear that your videography has gotten better.

i've done my share of backpacking... 37kgs=81 lbs... WOW

  • crock seem's like a awesome companion! :D Awesome video.

  • Your video's are becoming better some way or another. It keeps becoming easier to watch the whole chunk of 40 minutes.

  • 37 kilos?????????????

    dude......

  • @datskas

He is a human-cargo mule hybrid.

  • Awesome vid, love the Star Wars reference

  • holy crap nutn i went two miles with a 50-60 lb pack and i was dead by the end how the hell did you pull off 80 lbs haha love the vids keep em comin!!!!

  • Freaking AWESOME video! Absolutely GREAT!!!! Thanks a ton Nutn! Keep it going! Mo is mo better!

  • you guys are awesome

  • i cant get this video to load correctly , dude

  • Where is this?

  • Have the trash bag on the inside with the stuff in it instead

  • Mountain morning glory Eat the seeds LOL. 8P XD

  • Great stuff. Thanks for the adventure!!!

  • where was this?

  • what would you guys do, if allie got an injury during the trip?

  • mi glad i live in Norway. her we can drink all the water in the creecs and rivers, also we can just melt the snow so we don,t need that 1,5 gallons of water

  • @halla369 Yeah, you guys have some pretty clean water sources from what I've heard. Sweden and Finland too... Is there much cattle ranching in Scandinavia? It seems like most of our water problems here are due to cow shit.

  • @MrVoiceofreason123 well its most sheep, but there is some cows to. this is not a problem however since Norway is a fairly large country whit low concentration of people and farm animals. and also the density's like 31 persons /sq mi.

  • GUYS!=What up? wheres the snowboards broha? time to get strapped and slip a lil! I couldnt imagine all that hiking and NO snowboarding? I think your all crazy!

  • If you are hiking into a snowy region, couldn't you bring less water (than a 1.5 gallons)?

  • were u 2 guys the only people there at that time?

  • thanks for sharing, you're really awesome dude!

  • Man it's hard to see the first actual scene where you're in the woods and you see snowy mountains in the background. It's just unimaginable to me.
