Beautiful song...can listen to it hundreds of times. I miss when movies and songs were like this. Sad that the innocence and sweetness in Bollywood has been lost.
For all youth.......It's going to be my 25th wedding anniversary in few days , This song was always romantic to me , so is today...Thanks . bless u all
Thanks a lot for your comments. It is indeed a very very romantic song, and makes bachelors to rush for marriage. And why only for every woman? It is such a song that all the men also want such feelings from their wives and such marital bliss.
Thanks for your comments and nice words on my channel. I don't know as to how to reply to those comments, hence, I am replying back here. You are right in drawing similarity of Mumtaz with Brook Shields, and also right in saying that Mumtaz is more beautiful and desirable.
If one wanted to see a stylized concretization of the phrase "wedded bliss", this song would be a perfect example for conveying what that abstraction really means.
This is called perhaps the famous SD Magic. Oh my ! It is as if a whiff of cool wind blasts on your face, the way the song builds the tempo. The mystery in this song , I still cannot figure out. Some kind of a haunt , that is indescribable. How Lata repeats " Kya tarang hai "And Lata she really comes up in flying colors to the task of singing this melody. THANKS .arungolas a million
as you all agreed..there's something with this tune..yes indeed burman saab;s touch will never be re created..its more like a baisakhi mild breeze blowing through your ears..absolutely mind vlowing..yes lataji salute and burman saab RIP..also thks a lot to arungolas for the upload..
Hats off to Vijay Anand .. he was certainly ahead of his times. Master in his own class. Its quite unfotunate he didnt get his due credit. The Great man behind the scenes.
Guide,Jewel Thief, Tere Mere Sapne...... the list is endless.
But won't the beauty of the song be incomplete had Mumtaz not emoted it so beautifully! Vijay Anand had said that only Mumtaz could translate every nuance of emotions so well on the screen.
Can someone please post a peppy song from this movie: "Andhi praja andha raja... jamane dhatt tere ki". It is a gem picturised on Agha and Vijay Anand. Socially relevent too
brings back sweet ole memories. One of my favorite. When I saw this movie i fall in love with Mumtaz specially this song. iam talking about early 70s in Kabul. i missed those times. thanks for uploading

See how Vijay Anand has covered the time period through this song. I feel it is the best performance by Mumtaz in her entire film career.
