  • He's so dead ._.

  • i give you 5 star on your awesome lecture .

  • i give you 5 start on your awesome lecture .

  • So that's how you build an extension, Cool!.

  • at 4:35 what kind of file is it and where does it go

  • @PurpleEsophagus Thanks javascript. you can put that code in your manifest.html inside of "script" tags

  • He looks sad....

  • Hi. Just to tell you i just published a Google Chrome extension called OmegaFacebook; you can check the video about it on my channel and you can ask me any technical (or non-technical) questions about it (on the comments section of the video).

  • When i try to download music from mediafire n google chrome it downloads good and sht but I want it to be in another folder :/ how do I make it download to an specific folder?!?!? plz help!

  • @ChrisitanSiegert @hznunahvas Jesus Christ, he did a good job and the video is fine.

  • im confused

  • How can I get a link to open in the existing tab? I can get it to open in a new tab with the target="_blank" or just as a normal link and it will open in the popup bubble but can I get it to open in the current tab? Thanks.

  • google's hungry for money, they charge 5$ to publish the extension.

  • I like this guy.

  • It gets hairy !

  • I just worked hard on my very first Google Chrome Extension only to find out that I need to pay $5 to publish it. Bye Google.

  • @Hammerscare Your cheap.

  • @jacobbubble2 'You're' not 'your'. And how does that make me cheap?

  • @Hammerscare First off does grammer really matter in a youtube comment? as long as you get the intended message across to the other person with little or no confusion is there really a big problem? Secondly, you can't afford 5$ for a extension and really you should have researched before developing an extension. That suxs.

  • @jacobbubble2

The '$5 rule' wasn't there from the start. Earlier, developers could release their extensions for free. Also, I can afford to pay $5. Maybe you are right. I am cheap.

  • I loved this guy in "Road Trip".

  • i dont like google chrome because i cant use it

  • Well I tried :3

  • I understood up to the point where you start talking about "beefing up the html file". Everything after that got wayyy too technical.

  • CHEATER

  • ELIJA WOOD!!!

  • wow the entire thing was like he was telling me my grandma just died lol

  • @kevin113423

Your telling me, jeez i feel like i was back at primary school and the headteacher was yelling at me for gulping again >.< haha

  • @Dzhyeik It is harder because this is the Internet. This is what you are watching. YOU are on the Internet. The harder it is, the better it is. Have fun with your basic VB while I code extensions.

  • @reboh79

    Wow you are an idiot?

How would you know if i code with VB?

How do you know i was not just wanting to know who found coding easier? you know a vote...

Dumbass, besides how the fuck would you know wether i can't code a few simple extensions or not?

You seriously looked to far into a comment i left a month ago, freak.

  • @Dzhyeik Wow. The comment was the second one on the page when I watched this video. Besides, why spam every video possible with "VOTE UP IF..." ZOMG ZOMG.

Leave youtube and stop trying to act like a cool guy when you're just an ignorant youtube flamer.

  • Comment removed

  • @reboh79

@reboh79 Wow. Just do everyone a favour and shut the fucking hell up, for a starters that's the first time I have EVER said Vote up if and ZOMG? WTF of a fucktard planet are you from bastard.

And I'm not the Youtube flamer, you stupid imbecile you are the one that started this freaking damned argument!

So shut up and piss off.

I'm done with this conversation, I won't be wasting my time on mother fuckers like you, cock sucker.

  • @Dzhyeik WHOA, dont get your balls in a bunch.

Yea, that comment looked kind of insulting, which means Flame in modern Internet society(yes, I can play smart too.)

  • @reboh79

Despite that i said i would not reply, i changed my mind, because i would just love to add, take a look at how many people are saying this is boring because of this guy...

I was not saying all the coding side of it is tough, just the guy talking on the interview makes it sound difficult and his explanations is very bad, Its not who said what, its the simple fact that you started flaming at me FIRST, then obviously upon anger i retaliate.

  • @Dzhyeik heheheh you make me laugh with trying to act like a smart dude. I can play this game, but I dont need to play, I am naturally smart with the reason I am acting dumb is so all people on youtube can understand me. Now, let me begin speaking on-topic wise. Do you need the full tutorial in text in the description? Because a normal human would speak exactly like this, and explain the exact way he did, because it is the most detailed. I flamed you because I was bored and you flamed his video.

  • @reboh79

Seriously is there any point to this argument...?

Because I really can not be bothered with it, I was just wanting to find out how many people used VB.net that are interested in Chrome Extensions, besides Chrome does not even use its own coding language, the way you said it was if it is difficult to code with chrome extensions, but that is not the case, i tried what this dude said in the video, it seemed very different to the types of code i usually use, so it just seemed a little...

  • @Dzhyeik

a little... different which is obviously the feeling any one who is used to coding with VB, C++ and C# etc. I have little interest in extensions anyway since I don't even use Chrome anymore, it always crashed when i was browsing Youtube, so it was no good to me, I don't know why it crashed on Youtube, so instead i use Opera.

Can we not just stop this stupid argument over some video about extensions, and like i said, it was ages ago i posted it, so to me its just very old.

  • @Dzhyeik You've just requested me to stop, when I was just about to say the same thing, because I wanted to watch videos without being constantly hounded by my conscience to come back and read what you posted so yes, argument over.

  • @reboh79

    Mint =)

  • good and easy to understand!

    (i'm sarcastic)

  • sounds like he is bout to do extensions in my hair... liiissssppppp

  • Is there a way to put toolbars on google chrome

  • This guy gave the best talk at Google I/O 2010, but his session was not in the conference's feedback form, so I could not rate him as highly as he deserved.

  • good video

  • you know what? he confused me even more. xD

  • he isnt that good of a speaker, tbh

  • idk wat this is tlking about!?!?

  • is PHP usable in extensions?

  • @bowersbros while I don't know much about chrome, I can safely say no, probably not. PHP would require security exceptions allowing the user to connect to a domain in order to process the PHP script (seeing as how PHP is a scripting language and needs an engine). Other than that, PHP would be useless - Its main functionality would be to use databases, which wouldn't work even if the engine was installed on the user's computer.

  • what does he say we need baking into the extension to get the user's friend timeline?

    OR ... Oth.. O-off?? I can't understand that word

  • @acorbe2001 auth probably

  • @acorbe2001 he said OAuth. An authentication method.

  • awesmo

  • UMMMM ALL THOSE GUYs well um uh im not going to say just point it out your self

  • He's like a soldier reporting to his chief.

  • can't find extension in tool menu? would someone tell me why its missing.

  • @ALISTER691 note: extensions not available in stable release of Google Chrome (chk to ensure you're running Beta or Dev)

  • makesure you have the beta version of Google Chrome (you might have a stable version)

  • upgrade to the latest version

  • @ALISTER691

    get the latest beta.

  • @acidwarp514 click the star next to the address bar to bookmark a page in chrome.

  • Looks good, can Send-to-Gmail extension be made more like the bookmarklet, so it doesnt consume memory?

  • where the heck is the xpath function from

  • Gotta love Google's simplistic javascript+xml approach to chrome extensions and windows sidebar widgets :)

  • am so building extensions.....

  • Next time put the camera higher so he has to look up slightly. This prevents his eyes from looking tired. Also get a second light to avoid shadows on the face. Maybe eat well and rest before recording to be more energetic and positive.

Tutorial was A++. Would watch again.
