hate to break to all the haters on both sides but technically speak both cars are DSMs the srt uses a modified 4g64 block so its pretty much a family feud , and the srt4s rnt stock stage 1 is one step up jsut liek a 16g is one step up from a 14b

...I hate to break the news to all who think the SRT-4 is a DSM..."DSM" technically ended in late 1993/early 1994...even us 2G eclipse/talon guys arent technically DSM. The SRT-4 uses a modified 420A Chrysler motor with a slightly larger bore and stroke to achieve the larger displacement. If you've ever actually worked on the 4g64 vs the SRT-4 motor, you'd notice they are worlds apart.

Wrong, 93gst. DSMer here. SRT-4's when modded properly are insanely fast and will keep up with ease. Overpower...? eh well that's another story ; ) .

You could run at least 20 psi on 550's in a 2L car. Also have to wonder about the other supporting fuel mods; return line, new pump...cant just make assumptions on what the car is claimed to have ya know.

Nice run considering that 1g is a 92-94 so most of the parts on that car are gonna be from 14-16 years old. But all the cars in that vid are fast, but the DSM just had a little more done to it. Give the SRT-4's a few more mods and it would be a close race if not a win for the SRT-4's.
