I hate to say it, but this book did nothing for me. I liked roughly half of it. The stuff that didn't even have superpowers, i want to say that those stories could have worked in another book, but i don't think they would have.
Thought I would let you know that I bought this one today alongside Preacher Volumes 7 & 8(one more to go). Have you ever done any review on the Preacher series or are any of you guys not a fan?
I wanted to buy something to read on a journey and I saw Demo and remembered this review. I haven't bought a graphic novel since Dark Victory came out. I have to say I really enjoyed this. It's shouldn't even really be called a superhero book, because none if the characters are heroes, just people.
i recommend it as well. very good read. its deals with the emotions of ordinary people with extra ordinary powers. not to mention the art is simple and beautiful. demo 2 should be amazing
I'll have to check that out. I just started reading DMZ this week. I thought it would be to bleeding heart overdone political stuff, but it's absolutely great. Brian Wood is a Pretty Cool Guy. eh writes good comics and doesn't afraid of anything.
On another note, I really like the art style but I don't know if I should get it, as the premise of a superhero in the real world is getting repetitive and annoying. The art could win me over though.

I don't if I made it clear, but this works because it approaches it in a very non-conventional way. I say check it out.
