the only minmatar ship i like is the rifter and all its variants for its speed and versatility. amar ships are beautiful and very powerful, but gallente are my least favorite (even though ive been known to fly a thorax from time to time). caldari are convenient and full of surprises, shield tanking has its ups and downs but i never run risks with my ships when i dont have the isk to get repairs or replace destroyed vessels.

lol I love Minmatar ships. I know, they look like piles of junk with engines strapped on...wait...they piles of junk with engines strapped on. But they are still brilliant, and have a lot of character.

@Karthor21 That's like what I always say. Minmatar ships look like junk with engines, but you have to give credit to the Minmatar engineers. Those guys can make a spaceship from ANYTHING, literally. In the end, though, no matter how awesome the engineers are, the ships are still piles of junk with engines and no one wants to be flying around in a combat situation with nothing but a few sheets of aluminum between them and a thousand bullets, give or take a few hundred missiles.

This is Pre-Apocrypha. Apocrypha seriously reduced lag. That kind of stuff doesn't happen anymore. Especially since you can now inform CCP of large fleet battles ahead of time so they can allocate some more processing power to help the battle run more smoothly. So stop complaining.

Depends. Some people like Caldari, some think they look like shit. Some people lve minmatar ships, others think they all look like the unfortunate byproduct of a giant explosion in a girder factory. Personally, I like Gallente the most, but I love some Caldari, Amarr, and Minmatar ships equally. There's practically every kind if ship in the game so it really depends on the player.

Minmatar ships look like bits of rubbish glued together, because canonically that's the truth. Caldari ships are blocky and have lots of blinky lights, but do have a totally awesome T2 version of ships that have a camo paintjob. Easily the best looking are the Amarr and the Gallente, and lasers are awesome right now so go Amarr

Ships can be made DD proof :) you can usally survive one or 2 but multiple dooms days are the main tactic these days and they will kill almost everything standing :)

The way you actually command your ship isn't twitch based. Pretty much everything you do is selecting commands for movement, and activating different things you have your ship equiped with. Give the 14 day trial a try.

Same. I have a quad core with 6gb RAM, but I don't have a videocard. Just the media accelerator on the motherboard. No sound card either. I can't get into the more hectic battles without pulling the camera out as far as it can go.
