  • Good stuff man! Very accurate to the movie too.

  • Man, this piece reminds me of Yesterday (McCartney/ The Beatles) - simple to hear but very challenging to play.

  • I am no fingerpicker and so it is helpfull for me to see acoustic blues guitar payed with a flatpick. And this is really good!

  • do you have any tabs???

  • I LIKE IT MAN

  • please sand me tabs.....<333

  • what guitar is that? looks like the one in the robert johnson picture.

  • I prefer eric clapton & Mark Knoppfler crossroads. But a nice version of Ry coder Cross Roads. No offense but you should try this one out on an Electric Guitar ;) Keep playing =)

  • @retardzilla92 Dude, this is not the SONG "Crossroads", it is the shuffle

from the "guitarshop-szene" from the MOVIE "Crossroads", played by Ry Cooder -

And this cover pretty much nails it! Great job!

  • I prefer eric clapton & Mark Knoppfler cross roads. But a nice version of Ry coder Cross Roads. No offense but you should try this one out on an Electric Guitar ;) Keep playing =)

  • @retardzilla92 edit to my previous post:

It is not the "guitarshop-shuffle" it is the "old peoples home- shuffle" also played by Cooder

  • u da man it sounds great im into metal and even i liked that awsome stuff i love that movie

  • that guitar is fuckin sweet

  • All the guitar in the movie was played by a combo of Roth, Cooder, Vai and Bill Kanengiser, who played all of the classical (even on the electric in the duel scene!)

  • Of course it sounds great, it's Arlen Roth!

  • This part was plaed in the movie by Arlen Roth!

  • Stevie ray vaughn actually. Good job mate.

  • No, it was actually played by Roth...Vaughan had nothing to do with this film. He was only momentarily considered for the ending duel scene, as was Keith Richards, too!

  • @37terraplane I see, I always thought it was SRV, my mistake. Still sounds great though.

  • ! Perfecto !

    Gracias.

  • what kind of guitar is that...i kinda looks like a robert johnson gibson l-1

  • You can buy a gibson l-1 Robert Johnson remake. They cost around $4,000

    Bob (Scotland)

  • super

  • No, man, those 'miss tones' are part of what gives the blues it's distinctive sound.

  • Nice, spot on.

  • That's the piece Arlen Roth played called "Commisary Blues". He made that one up on the spot for Ralph to fake to. Cooder wanted Arlen just to play as many licks as possible ina short time, for the kid to impress Joe Seneca.

  • what kinda guitar is that?

  • Gibson L-1

  • thats cool!!!

  • thanx for that, i have always loved the movie crossroads, its so long since i have heard/seen it, when the movie came out 20 years ago i must have tryed for months to play this stuff, 20 years later with a bit of your help, And youtube it took less than half hour. i wish i had it back then, thanx for the vid. cheers.

I just got a J-45....man, that's one fuck of a guitar you have there.

  • is that the early 90's gibson l-1 re-release? I don't see the robert johnson signature.

  • Actually, this piece was played in the film by ARLEN ROTH, who was Macchio's teacher for the film, and played many of his parts as well. Cooder was wrongly credited with this and many other guitar parts in the movie. It's called "Commissary Blues".
