I'm about to start learning guitar and I'm looking for a piece of music that I can aim to play in 6 months. Liked the sound of the song you were playing and got excited thinking I had found my piece..and then read you composed it yourself. Very nice man. Shame I can't pick it up aurally to play it myself. ;)
@Tatelina Ha ha! Well check out some of my other videos here on YT and music on my website. I have tab for a lot of it. Just ask. Good luck with learning. ;))
I want to buy this guitar for practising at home and to play live gigs... Would this guitar do the job live? It sounds great in this video... And also, is it difficult to keep the guitar in tune?
i've been wanting to have this guitar due to its portability... though i am more of an acoustic player but sometimes i'd like to play lead and distortion for a change. question: is this guitar works also good on guitar effects. I am planning to use it over line6 pocket pod for ultimate portability wherever i go for practice... please advice.. i've seen you're a pro so i know can share a bit of your knowledge... great music you got there!!!
The guitar will respond to effects the same way as any other acoustic with built in preamp/pick up but actually a little better with no body resonance to interfere with things. Great with chorus, reverb, delays etc and distortion but you won't get screaming high sustain lead sounds. A lot will depend on what effects unit you use. It's a great guitar for practice and portability.
hey!! beautiful piece! I was thinking about buying a yamaha slg and i want to ask you if the reverb that include the guitar itself, allows enough reverberation or if on the contrary is it necessary a mixer to obtain a 'decent' reverberation. Thanks in advance
The built in reverb on the guitar is OK but it has only one setting. On or off. I use the mixer for routing the guitar into my PC not really for effects although I do like the reverbs on it.
Way too much reverb. Doesn't sound that good with all that reverb. Some reverb is good, like a Hall reverb setting, but will all good things you can overdo it.
Record again, but with less reverb. I'm thinking of getting on these guitars.
Could anyone please tell me if the nylon stringed version of this guitar makes any sound at all when not plugged to anything?? I know it's a silent guitar, but can you still hear the notes you play clearly without amplification and loud enough to play just for you like with an umplugged electric?? If so... then i'm buying one for my b-day :)
It does need a 9v battery like most other electric/acoustics. But it also comes with a mains adapter so you can play if you run out of batteries at home.
i really like it. many times first take is the best one. does all that reverb effect comes from the mixer? i was wondering about getting one, maybe this behringer works for me. keep it up!
It's a steel strung. I strung it with some extra lights I had lying around which don't suit it. Too much buzz. I'm playing it directly through a Behringer UB1002FX mixer using a lot of the mixer's hardware reverb then recorded directly in stereo into Sonar 6 on my PC.
I only delete comments from haters. I can assure you it wasn't me! Probably a glitch with the approval thing. If you friend me you can add comments without me approving them. 8^)

Musically I like it, but I think your mix is wrong... The reverb time is good, and the amount of reverb but take a lot of ER out of it

Hi Lemintrepid,
I have the SLG100S and I wondered what amp would be better
A standard amp or an acoustic amp.
Any feedback will be helpful. Great playing.

@lemintrepid this guitar is good as hell for that world music type sound.the trip is it stays in tune very well.

@bong252003 You've probably made your purchasing decision by now, but if not, check out the Steinberger guitars. They're also very portable.
