  • do you think this kit is worth it? im deciding if i want it or not but seeing how awful this kit is and the price that it is worth for right now im guessing its really not worth it and plus its 80 bucks on HLJ.com right now :) well averaged up around 80

  • @loserwing well if you think it's awful, that sort of answers your question, doesn't it?

  • @kawapen2 hmm but their are ways to fix some flaws no?

  • nice to know you can go overed-boost mode part in the "wings" without any part removal :)

  • nice kit man.. are there many parts that needs to be glued on this kit?

  • would u be willing to paint mine as well if i paid u for it

  • @shatteredgear we'd have to think about that for a looong time, because I'm already backed up as it is on things I need to do. Not to mention my airbrush still doesn't work properly, so I need to get it all up and running even before I can do anything

  • @kawapen2 x[ well if u have msn add me, sargesix@gmail.com and we can work somethin out later lol

  • im thinking of getting a nine ball model kit and i wanted to know how hard it would be for someone to understand the instructions and how hard it mite be to build plus im only 13 so i dont really no much about modeling and if the instuctions r japenese can i still esily understand the pictures? some1 help me

  • @bobisawsome12345 The pictures are really all you need, but with Armored Core kits, sometimes they use images that aren't easily recognizable. It shouldn't be too difficult, and you can always look online for descriptions. Just take your time and don't rush it.

  • @kawapen2 thanks

  • How exactly does one go about painting a model like this? Because honestly, I would assume that you would paint it now that it's all put together, but you seem to have hinted otherwise. How would YOU paint your models?

  • @WumboWarrior Piece by piece :P Check out Vegeta8259's videos for a hint

  • BTW to fix the head problem glue a little bit around it to thicken it :P

  • is the white glint the most powerfull robot in the armored core series? every one seems to like it alot

  • @Miguelsr1rst It's not the most powerful, just one of the first unique For Answer kits to be released. It has plenty of shortcomings, both in the game and as a model

  • @kawapen2 which one is the most powerfull in armored core? for both hero and villain? please tell me :)

  • @Miguelsr1rst See, there's a problem with that. Because of the nature of AC, there is no "most powerful." In game, it comes down to stats, and in modelling, it's aaalll aesthetics; how you like the look of the kit. I personally am in love with the various LAHIRE model kits. So go check out the Armored Core selection on HobbySearch, and decide for yourself! :D

  • @Miguelsr1rst AC is a very balanced game in terms of design, so it's really impossible for any ONE AC to be the best. However, you could say that Nineball (villain) is a very superior design since it's technically more than an AC. It can be, however, pretty easy to destroy if your AC is equipped properly.

  • @WumboWarrior You mean the Nineball Seraph version right?

  • @Miguelsr1rst there is no most powerful when it comes to armored core, ive seen big heavy tank fitted guys with high powered weapons get taken down by light guys with twin laser blades, when it comes to the white glint if you master it and fit it properly you can bet its one of the best

  • is this gundaM?

  • @Miguelsr1rst Armored Core

  • your dog is famous now

  • @gasteinerboy Is he?

  • where did u get this from

  • @ImortalGaurdian google "hobbysearch:"

  • Why does this cost so much

  • @ZaneHitsurugi why are any model kits so much?

  • Thanks so much for these vids! I just got this kit (for a mere $66 shipped!) and these vids will help a lot when I build it. I have a couple questions though -- how bad are the nub marks on this when properly snipped and sanded? Is it gonna require priming and painting (which I'd like to avoid)? And how bad are the seam lines? Is this gonna be a cement-filled affair, or will I get off somewhat easily?

  • @simplytragic You're welcome! Unfortunately, I have to say that this kit involves an extreme amount of effort. Mine is minimalistic, but after seeing painted kits from others, I have to admit that if given another chance, I would go all-out for this guy.

There are plenty of seamlines, the plastic looks terrible, though I can't recall a lot of nub marks showing. There are only a few things you'll have to glue, as well. All-in-all, the best you could do is prime and paint it.

  • @kawapen2 Yeah, that's what I was guessing -- I've opened the box to look at it and the white seems almost slightly off, so I think I may end up needing to paint it. Thanks for the info!

  • @simplytragic wait it cost you $66 to ship it or $66 in total to get your white glint?

  • @ImortalGaurdian Shipping from a Japan-based company will be roughly 20-24 USD, so factor that in

  • @ImortalGaurdian It cost me $6 to ship it and I got it for $59.99. It was a total steal for one of my dream kits, I couldn't pass it up. I just decided on how I'll do the paint sometime yesterday while messing around with in-game paint jobs.

  • @simplytragic $6 for shipping?! Holy jesus man, where did you get it? XD

  • @kawapen2 Coincidentally the moment I had money to get it, somebody listed one on Amazon for that ridiculous price. It got bought while I was waiting for money to transfer, but I emailed the seller and he happened to have one more which he listed and I bought on the spot. Awesome deal on an awesome kit.

  • does the stand come with it?

  • @ImortalGaurdian sure does!

  • s cool

  • r u getting d 1/72 Vanguard Overed Boost? its gonna look awesome 4 dis kit btw good review

  • @TheIkawatay Thanks, but no I'm not getting the OB. Mainly because I don't like the WG in flight mode, but also because my stand broke. Which sucks...

  • Thanks for posting all the reviews, I really enjoyed them!

How did you do the panel lines? I have already pre-ordered the movie edition white glint, but I never painted a model before, and after watching your videos I realized that white glint would look pretty ugly without the panel lines. Did you use one of those gundam markers for the lines?

  • Thanks! I use a Pigma .25mm archival pen, it's waterproof and does the job fairly well... my only problem is that a .2mm would be a better fit. I've been thinking of using a Gundam Marker, though~

  • That's really nice!!!

  • Are you getting the Lahire kit? I think im getting it since its going to be released soon(in april). That and Uranus Marvelous

  • I say thats a great white glint. Panel lines are not OVERLY done like i see on many other gunpla builders who panel lines. I guess its really a very BIG challenge to paint a kit with sooo much parts! especially tiny ones. But anyways congrats on the success.

BTW have u seen the new uranus? The head looks BADASS!

  • I wanna get the new Lahire, but i'll be lucky if I get it the day it releases. Money is a bit tight again :P Haven't seen a Uranus kit...

HOBBYSEARCH IS HAVING A 20% OFF SALE D: GO NAO

  • @kawapen2

the new uranus can be found here!

  • There shouldnt be any spaces in the link. dunn why it appears when i post it

  • I'll have to check it out after work, running a bit late today... Youtube usually hates pseudo links for some reason :P

  • Great review! It's too bad it has some loose parts but it's to be expected with these kits. AC mecha have great designs and the models have very detailed sculpting, which I really enjoy.

The panel lining really makes White Glint look that much better.

I missed the first release of the WG but with the new set of the WG and Vanguard Over Boost...I may pick that set up.

  • Thanks! With so many moving parts, I expected a couple loose pieces, but the head is still the most disappointing aspect. That aside, it's a wonderful show piece.

If you enjoy the flight mode, getting the Movie Version is the best choice you could make :D

  • Great review Sir. I think it fair to say that while this is one of the most impressive Mecha designs on the market, but it is limited by its articulation. Like all AC kits this is more akin to a posable statue that an action figure.

I actually have an unmade Glint and Vanguard Overdo Booster and I'm interested to hear your suggestions regarding possible paint schemes.

I'm building/ detailing/ painting the Unsung at the moment and its a beautiful kit.

R U tempted by the Mirage Helios.

  • Oh, believe me, I desperately want the Helios. The different colors just draw me in XD

If you don't want to stick with the generic white scheme, I'd actually be interested to see how the inverted scheme I mentioned below would turn out. I just hate to ask, because it it's not as impressive as it sounds, that's a sixty dollar kit ruined :P

  • I've seen some do a black and gold Glint. Didn't look soo great. but there. Im happy with my weathered Glint.

  • XD Even as I said it, I couldn't think of any colors Glint would look good in...

  • Same, Dark grey and White work well I suppose. But all Glint looks good in, is White!

  • I could maybe see an inverted -black with white accents- color scheme working...
