@wootness3000 the sad bit about that whole thing is... I did, 3K with Mobil 1 5w30 synthetic and a motor flush every few changes, its just the plague of the poor oil channels and flow of the engines :|
2.7s were prone to oil sludging which would cause oil starvation. Jason: Your 99 Concorde hopefully doesn't have the 2.7. The 3.5s were pretty bulletproof. Use synthetic oil (like Mobil1) and you won't have problems.
thats what my 2000 dodge intrepid 2.7 looks like now, the damn thing was knocking for a week and then just shut down! i can obviously see why..lol, i wasted my money...
do they not know that taking out the crankshaft would make the demolished piston easier to retrieve? and they way their engine knowledge is, it makes it seem like they quickly looked online for basic engine components. yet only 2 minutes after looking them up, they forget just about everything
ya me too can i hang out with yall u think its nuked well ya i agree but lol hell we could all be nti grads lets go drink a beer 7 pm hooters ok in my blown alky injected nova
I just bought a 99 Chysler concord and for 36hundred and now after seeing all the complaints on the internet and watching this video I'm thinking I might sell it before I get screwed out of my money. Thanks for the vid I thnk I'll sell it as soon as I get the title from the state. I think I can sell it and still make a few hundred off it.
Gotta love the 2.7L chrysler. The water pump is inside the crank case, when that seal goes, coolant is now circulating through the bearings, and your engine goes shortly thereafter. Chrysler has actually had a class action lawsuit against them over this motor.
Holy shit. Nice work! LOL. I've never heard good things about Chrysler bottom ends. I still like em, but I guess they're no good with forced induction.
The 2.7 engine found in the intrepid and concorde isnt all that of an engine. To keep one of these running past 160 000 km on the odo you need to do oil changes and closer intervals (3000km rather than 5000km) and drive them easy. NO redlining or racing.
Why dont you get your thin candy shell head out of your ass and start going to school learing about the real chrysler and stop depending on your parents giving you everything in life.
What now? you think Im scott, get to fucking work on cracking those school books and not creating worthless GM hate videos that you know nothing about you dumbass
Chrysler engine 2.7 Is the best shit engine they make if you like sending it to the repair shop. Know for blowing up ,if you like that. And Sludge build up causes it to blow LOL
first i had a intrepid with the 2.7(175000kms crank went)now i have the 3.2 in the concourde lxi(full load i love this car)220000kms and still strong but little things(egr control valve twice,alternater500 bucks canada etc.etc.)...you're right...never heard a bad thing about the ho3.5..going to get a 300 next with that engine..the only way to go except low milage(60000miles2001 to 2003 300's still fetch 12000 or more in canada!good luck with that engine I think you'll be ok!!
Nice im a mini cooper S. eletric blue with moon roof and sun roof. drives tarable in ice. any sugestions on how to fix the ice problem. i cant use chains
this useally happens to grandma cars (with this chrysler mitsubishi shit engine) with regular oil changes. know the shit before you say something dumb like that.
of course a rod was thrown. it was thrown due to the bad design which causes sludge to build and cease oil flow to the bearings, causeing it to become locked (or throw a rod)
all i was saying is this particular engine does this without being abused.
this is the 2.7 which indeed is a piece of crap..the 3'2 is quite a bit of an engine but yeah the oil sending unit tends to go even on maintained engines starving the...well you know..they're 5500 Canadian to replace..ouch.
oh belive me, i know the 2.7 is a piece of junk, i think i did a damn good job of it tho considering it made it to 162,000 miles, and do tell what was dumb said?
2.7s are (((junk)))...mitsibishi motor Dodge thinks they are getting away with selling this junk.Yes they made it cheap and sold alot of cars but now they are going to have to pay the piper. The word is getting out.
Chrysler executives will probably just point and laugh. They know about the common premature failure with these engines regardless of regular before or on schedule oil changes. Check out dontbuydodgechryslervehicles dot com.
