  • Ah I remember that boss from Megaman X.

  • what mode is this easy hard or normal? id cry if this is hard...

  • I love that they pay homage to some of the greatest parts of the original X. This boss is an example. So is the remixed music selections. Still, Alia ruins the entire thing.

  • Just wanna ask you sumthing. What program do you use for recording the videos? I use fraps but the gameplay becomes laggy when i start recording

  • @SlappyBros

I use a DVD recorder. I've heard people have had problems with Fraps with this game, yes. I'm not very familiar with recording programs, sorry. They never worked well for me, you know.

  • @Decremated can you tell me where to download dvd recorder? i can't find it!

  • @SlappyBros don't know if this helps but, what video plugin are you using??

I use Pete's OGL and fraps and it works great for me (My computer build has a lot to do with that though) but I hear that different Video Plugins run better with fraps, might be something you want to check out

  • @ShadowWolf401 i have a better pc now, is not that laggy anymore i guess :)

  • hey isn't this boss from megaman x1? wtf?

  • Are there negative side effects to letting the zero virus....touch you?

  • i should use zero more..a lot more

  • wow that incredible. i haven't even beaten this game and you destroyed it.

  • o.o dude...you are a BEAST at this game

  • Oh sick! o.o Did anyone notice that when you're fully infected with the Virus you fully recover your HP, and you're temporarily invincible? o.o...I never knew that! I thought being infected with the Virsu was a BAD thing...

  • This only occurs with Zero, because he was the original Spawn of the virus. This is also shown when he crashes into the Eurasia and it DOESN'T work, because he is then infused with all the virus that was infecting it, and he becomes the true zero once more.

  • It is bad when you're X.

  • Not if you're Zero that is. It's his virus after all.

  • @KioKini

That's only for Zero, X takes damage from the virus.

  • that thing is seriously called rangda bangda? that sounds eerily close to that one boss from TLoZ: ocarina of time

  • you're thinking of Bongo Bongo

  • hmm, thought it was something else lol

  • Deja vu!!!

  • this is the boss from megaman x1 O_O

  • I'm so good with Zero in this game. x)

I suxxorz with X, though. Unless I'm using the Ultimate armor, though. That makes it so easy it's not even worth playing. :'(

This is teh best game in the series!1!one!1!

  • Old school boss and a classic spiky clusterfuck!

  • lol, the face boss from megaman x, except for the nose, he doesn´t have one...

  • Holy shit dude...............

  • Ugh the lasers, I remember. I liked how they tried to make X5 a lot harder and similar to the original Mega Man games.

Haven't played this game in years so I probably suck at it by now, but this is pretty amazing. I never thought of going after the Zero virus stages first.

  • so let me get this straight. Zero gets positive benefits from the virus while X dies from the virus? MAN! i should have played as zero more often

  • You didn't know that -_-?

  • not until now, never payed attention

  • Fair enough.

Yeah, Zero is healed by the virus because it IS a part of him.

  • nao consigo ver ele por isso e ruim

  • OMG, and that is Zero without any parts or weapons. Who are you :D?! (I like how you just let Zero got infected)

  • MAN that was excellent. I can never defeat that maverick that quick. Takes me ages, then i die from the spikes that stick out when the wall closes in

  • Me too - but the Black Devil stage was much more difficult IMO.

  • What appens if the virus thingy circle fills up?

  • He turns super saiyan basically

  • Maybe it has something to do with that this is a speed run and using X would take at least 30 seconds longer?

    Hint: It's a speed run.

  • Zero is a man too btw...just with long blond hair^^

  • Lol...yeah, a robot man though ;)

  • Hearing you talk i know you're a newbie. Zero is way more powerful than X and only the pro can use him like this x-)

  • @russischbrot Wait, using a gun is being manly, and using a close-and-personal sword isn't?...

  • 1993,, that music,, memories,, damn I was young. You know what I'm talking about.

  • LOL that's hilarious. That was made in 1993???

  • what do the purple copies of you do to you

  • it damages X slowly

    but zero's health recharges

  • it helps you recover health

  • this boss is so old school

  • omg the boss music from megaman x in sigmas fortress!!

  • i like zeros pose before he teleports out.

  • nostalgia with this boss. i love the x series. nice run btw

  • Zero is my fav hero lol

  • then dont watch

  • That is one of the hardest mini boss on any mega man X's (to me at least). Nice job in using the invincibility frames to dodge the spikes.

  • megaman X boss and boss theme 0.o

  • Wow Viceroy... XD. I really think you're 10 years old.

  • i only beat virus blue once other times i get killed by lasers

  • the zero virus actually gives zero more health!thought it was to damage zero

  • no, because for some reason, zero's body has a reverse effect. though i dont believe it was ever specified why, it's just the way his body is. For X however, he gets damaged

  • it's cuz Zero had the original Maverick virus.

  • of course you should take damage here. those big robots take ages to kill with zero, they suck. just ignore them, that'll teach'em :P

  • Not bad I can never beat that fight with Zero

  • I Don't Care Rather A Player Take Damage Or Not I Just Love Watching People Kick The Game Ass

  • dont you realize the point of speed runs is to AVOID damage?

  • No, the whole point of speed runs is to complete the game as fast as possible, by any means available. If it's faster to take damage, then do so. If not, then you should naturally avoid it. Of course, some times taking damage may _seem_ to be the fastest way, even when there's a possibility to do it faster without taking damage...

  • oh yeah, cuz it looks REALLY impressive if you just ram into every enemy in your way. that takes a lot of skill. congrats on being supwer-awesome, buddy.

(on a side note, most pro speed run competitions give penalties for taking damage.)

  • Impressive performance and "supwer-awesomeness" are possible byproducts of a run; not the core. Sure, taking damage is an incredibly cheap way to get through enemies, but as far as I know, it's the fastest way. To make things interesting, there are such factors as stun time (you have to hit the enemy in a certain way to cut down the time) and life energy (limited) to consider.

  • (continued:)Another thing: what would the pro competitions you talk about be? Every single site I've encountered (formal and non-formal) have never even hinted on taking damage to boost your run being a bad or restricted thing. I'm curious; what competition/competitive site has such rules?

  • Right.

  • Grats, you just made an ass of yourself.

This was a very well done speed run.

He never specified it as a "no damage" run, and if you think it's so bad, why don't you make a run yourself that's faster and IS no damage?

    Good luck with that.

And as far as your response to his question, "the ones that count," can you be more specific?

  • I always had to use the Gaea Armor to not get skewered by the spikes. But I liked Ultimate and Falcon the best. The flying thing was just really cool.

  • nice against the Rangda Bangda

  • oh no virus

  • ? This was a boss of MMX1? I have that game and i didnt remeber him. But well, i didnt beat it yet.

  • I think it was the boss on the second Sigma level. Or the third.

  • Sigma Palace Stage 2...the third keeper was D-Rex.

  • He was the Giant Face in the 2nd stage of the sigma levels

  • I like Rangda Bangda from X1 better, but this one is harder.

  • Personally, I like Rangda Bangda from X1 better.

  • How do know the name?? you mean the boss right? just curious.

  • Yes, that boss name is Rangda Bangda from MegaMan X1

  • Or as I like to call him, "The Boka Boka Machine" XD

  • The Original Soundtrack calls him "LamdaBamda2

  • Ah, yes, of course!

  • Your very good at this game.
