  • doctor bowties are cool. here u go question solved....

  • His name is silence. Silence will fall when the question is asked. Nah that's stupid

  • were a friking spoiler proklamation and warn peaple that this ruins everything

  • 10 said River whispered his name. So River is still in there. She's not gone yet. So...River is going to figure out his name, and since she wasn't fazed by 10s face when 10 first met her...I'm wondering if perhaps 10 will make a return for the 50th, but when it's all said and done with, he will have his memory modified so that when he meets River in the library, he won't remember her....hmm hmm hmm :)

  • @ChelseCreek84

Do remember, that there is another 10th out there, in Rose's new dimension.

  • @AdManOfChaos Oh yes! Excellent point...hope something tragic won't happen. Then again, it's Moffat, and he generally isn't as traumatizing as Davies was.

  • *at the end of the video* and here is when he turns arround with a 'I'm happy' face and says "Doctor me! : D" (yes, kill me please)

  • the question is "Doctor Who?" and the new TV short had Albert Einstein transformed into an Ood saying over and over "Death is the only answer" The Doctor is Death himself!

  • "Who's carrying me?"

    i c wut u did thar Moff

  • Want to know answer! Answer now give me! Series 7 coming around 20th of March! I hope they won't answer the question then, though. I hope they'll keep the answer for the end of the show, the end of the 13th Doctor's live! At least, that's how many lives we think he has, don't we? He might have got another eleven lives, doesn't he? Gosh I love this show!

  • @MyComicStyle bcc has done away with the arbitrary 12 regenerations... at least now that the show is making money...

  • @kieraanne88 I hope so. They could even make it a logical extension. I recall River giving the Doctor her regenerations. 13 + 11 = 24, thus there could be another 13 Doctors :D

  • Kinda cut it, but love his Tom Baker, look at the camera and grin look.

  • I call him Bob.

  • Theta Sigma... I swear it's Theta Sigma!!!

  • @BillHartnelliscool27 That was a nickname.

  • @philinmpls go and hav a look at @DRWHOremixer's take on it. it's very informative, and that's wot i'm going by!

  • I HAD AN EPIPHANY. THE ONE WHO ASKS THE ULTIMATE QUESTION -- IT WILL BE THE MASTER

I bet someones thought of this before, but I thought of it earlier and was like "YES. YOU SIR ARE BRILLIANT"

  • I swear.. It's Tommy Pickles..

  • John Smith..

  • i think the docs name is "silence"

think about it, it literally cant be pronounced, its hidden in plain sight, (silence will fall when the question is asked) but thats just my guess, lol have fun figuring it out :)

  • Doctor death?

  • Gosh darn it, i haven't seen the episodes past 10's regeneration and now im ruining it by watching clips like this x(

    Oh well :D

  • @CJFRANKS7 I myself saved Ten's regeneration for last.

End of Time has such a dead plot twist... it was still amazing.

  • DOCTOR NICK HI EVEYBODY

  • What's with all the "42" jokes? I don't get it.

  • @TheAfroThunder1 I think that you have to take a look at "The hitchhiker's guide to the galaxy"

  • @cinghialesetoloso Thanks

  • @TheAfroThunder1 U R welcome

  • @cinghialesetoloso Yes, indeed.

  • WELL THANKS FOR A SPOILERS ALERT. -___- in some countries this hasnt even aired on tv and you got the WHOLE BLOODY CONVERSATION GAHHH!!!

  • @Castiel666xD you can download the episodes on the internet. there problem solved.

  • @shitass999 illegal, plus why would i if it starts in a few week here in auz? and I have to have enough bandwidth to down load a whole series O_O it would be nice if there was a spoiler alert especially seeming it isnt released everywhere yet. you understand my frustration no?

  • When i start to hear that background music (at :40) in any doctor who episode, i get so giddy on the inside :D

  • If the Doctor's death was a fixed point in time so much so that all of time was disintegrating because he didn't die, then how come time isn't still disintegrating if he's not really dead? If he's still alive, shouldn't time still be falling apart?

  • @banannabean1 Everyone thought the fix point in time was 'the Doctor getting shot in front of Lake Silencio by River'. The real FPIT was "the Teselecta (morph into the doctor's body) getting shot by River in front of Lake Silencio", but nobody but the Doctor thought of that.

Time collapse when River refused to shoot him, thus breaking the established fixed point.

  • What if the question is truely Doctor Who?

  • The Question that must never be answered: "Chimicherry or Cherrychonga?"

  • @AlistairAI chimicherrychaga obviously.

  • @AlistairAI

Oh, well played sir, well played indeed.

  • @AlistairAI And a thousand and one muffins for you. But beware the wall-eyed one!

  • @AlistairAI I shall answer it: CHIMICHERRYCHONGA!!!

  • @AlistairAI Brony Whovians FTW :D

  • His might be Desmond McCullough

  • Doctor but...doctor who?

  • i love that episode and that head is the doctors friend

  • what is 'the head' saying to the doctor before he is saying the question doctor who..?

  • a doctor in a doctor DOCTORSCENSION.............yea i dont get it either

  • To Big To Noisy time to step back in to the Shadows? and yet at the beginning of the christmas episode "The Widow and The Wardrobe" the Doctor blew up a starship and properly woke up the entire universe lol never mind its Doctor who--

  • @kombatzero The funny thing is, as long as the universe thinks that the Doctor dies at Lake Silencio in 2011 then they can put any appearences of the Doctor after that event down to being before his death. Basically, it should stop hunter organizations coming after him because they think his death is a fixed point.

  • @kombatzero

and just because he blew up a ship doesn't necessarily mean they knew it was him. he could've easily used the TARDIS to sneak onboard, and then just stayed hidden till the part where we saw him. he might've just tried to make it look like an engine problem or something.

  • Oh, the name! It's more, than a secret.

  • I have a sneeking suspicion his real name will turn out hidden in plain sight as well. Think about it, the end credits of the earlier seasons, the constant flubs by the mainstream press, isnt it obvious? ItIt could just be "Who". Remember the episode of the Simpsons that revealed Homer J Simpson's middle name was "Jay?"

  • I know when it will be asked,

and why it must be answered......

  • @BigDoctorWhoFan

    When and Why?

  • @coolgirl672235 In our universe:

    When: the 50th aniversary special.

    Why: Because it can

    In Their Universe:

When and Why: Well maybe this will answer it:

    Was their greatest day real?

  • does a head have rights

    of coarse not

  • OMG!

I just got it - River sent out the distress signal to the beginning of time saying the Doctor was in trouble, and their reply was "Doctor Who?"

That's how it became the First Question!!

  • The second question, the question that people don't care if its answered or not, hidden in not-so plain sight, the question you've been running from for 49 years... Master Who? MASTER WHO? MAS-TER WHO!

  • His name is ∂³∑x² which is a mathematical equation that equals 42.

So the answer to the first question is 42.

  • According to the 1975 Second Edition of "The Making of Doctor Who", his actual "name" (as close as it can be translated into any human-compatible concept) is a mathematical equation...∂³∑x²

It's not so much the name he's running from, but the identity, function and destiny it designates.

  • Weeeeell these two last series have pretty much proved that, even though Moffat is brilliant in writing singular episodes (Blink, The Girl In The Fireplace, The Empty Child) he just sucks in the general storyline. There was NO point to series 5 and 6. Russel T Davies' might not write the most exciting individual episodes; his storyline over the length of the series is pure genius. Oh, isn't it all hard! Why couldn't Moffat and Davies just not work together??

  • Also, won't his name be a tad anticlimactic? I mean I fail to see how a name could live up to the hype surrounding it.

  • I really don't want to know his name TBH. Not unless the time comes when the BBC plan on putting the Doctor off air for good, which I hope never happens.

  • @LORDUnLuCkY13 I think the doctor has like 11 regenerations or something like that and this is his ninth I think so still got a couple of doctors left.

  • @GoDLiKeKakashi are you mentally challenged?

  • @LifterC3 xDD nice I know I got it all wrong so nvm but great response really shows that you have manners.

  • @GoDLiKeKakashi xDD i was only joking, but great response really shows that you have a sense of humor.

  • @LifterC3 well terrible joke and lets not get into this any further kinda pointless...

  • @GoDLiKeKakashi like i said, but thanks for proving my point. Good bye.

  • @LifterC3 Who's that commenting? I demand to know. I'm a YouTube account owner, I have rights... Wait, is it you? It is, isn't it? It is, I can see your name... But... How did you escape from "David Tennant's goodbye message"?

Hello LifterC3, funny I come across you on this video. Just stop to comment that really hate you! Bye, bye, my American friend!!

  • @TheAfroThunder1 eeww, your stalking me to now, arent you... this is getting out of hand. I might even call a doctor for you but i bet it would give you no more then a fangasm.

  • Comment removed

  • @TheAfroThunder1 yeah right, you just happened to meet me at 3 different videos... isnt that just a matter of coincidence... its like some strange demented Dalek froma strange evil cult is derecting uss to a matter of destiny... but i must say i didnt expect to hear from you so early... i thought kindergarten had a special department from the retarded kids to releashe them just a little bit later then the rest of the baby's in case they get in fight with other "normal" people outside.

  • @TheAfroThunder1 Just wanted to say that, whatever you and LifterC3 might be hating about, this is one of the best comments I've seen on YouTube. Good on ya, mate!

  • @naylorfan90 Thanks mate.

  • The Doctor

  • His name is "The Other"

  • @IronFistedChampion The novels arent canon dipshit

  • The question that never can be answered? It's his name. Obviously he has been running from himself, and now he wonders "who am i?" or "doctor who?".

  • his name is your mom~!

  • there are some who call him ...... tim

  • @Link2point0 That's from Scrubs, isn't it?

  • The First Question is actually an important issue of logic dealing with human minds trying to understand the infinite the Poet Dante might put like this. How do you define God? A God you can define can not logically be infinite and is thus not God. God like God's figurative BBC symbolic analog the Doctor is that which can not be defined and therefore has no ending. :)

  • Call me crazy but I think the Doctor's name is William-Patrick-Jon-Tom-Peter-Colin-Sylvester-Paul-Christopher-David-Matt

  • I knew this would happened :3 I predicted it. :3

  • His name is bob.

  • Anyone find the drama was ruinied by the many times you could see Doriums pale neck?

  • AMAZING. that was definiely one of the most epic scenes ever. But, one question, DW fans, how did the Teselecta start regenerating when river shot it for the first time? I know it was disguised as the doctor, but, can it do that? o_o

  • @zerof4lk Mabye it was just glowing. It can immatate people, why not imatate a man regenerating. If he had finished, it wouldn't of made sence.

  • "I'm a head. I have rights!"

  • i love the way matt looks at the camera as dorium is saying Doc.tor. WHO. its just so epic...

  • Perhaps the most spine-tingling moment of the whole season. Hidden in plain sight! ;-)

  • It means he's gonna regenerate again

  • the fall of the 11th? does that mean the doctor will die again?

  • I'm so glad I saw this NOW, and not before I saw this episode.

  • Anyone else notice that this is the first question asked of him by all his companions?

  • If Peter Griffin were here, he'd be going wild...

  • Doctor 42???

  • @kaizoisevil

    Correct.

  • "ACTUALLY THINKING ABOUT IT"

  • i bet the craters dont even have a name for him. dont worry bout it people.

  • I hope we don't find out his name, but if we do I hope people will still call him Doctor. It would just be weird hearing him being called something else.

  • the awnswer is 42

  • "you're not exactly going anywhere, are you?"

  • doctor ...who?... the question will be asked and cannot be unanswered.. omega is comeing and the 11th shall fall

  • Freaky in this part,The Doctors in a cave of skulls and the first time a character(Ian Chesterton) said "Doctor Who?" was in a episode called The Cave Of Skulls

  • So... Who DIDN'T see this coming right from the start? (For me, I figured it out in LKH)

  • OOOH! Just love his smirk at the end!

  • Pretty sure they won't give his name away. Like how the Doctor was meant to die last series = P

  • a brilliant ending....awsome! :)

  • I just realized he's wearing a black bow tie

  • His name is Bob

  • Doctor Doc

  • I loving Matt Smith as The Doctor

  • Comment removed

  • The Wedding of River Song (finale season 6), Lake Silencio, "look into my eye" wow. Matt Smith is now my all-time fav Doctor; I didn't think anyone could top David Tennant's role from 2005-10. The Question That Must Never Be Answered; what a mind f*ck, I love it!

  • You know...Ithink the fall of the 11th is a callback to the episode A Good Man Goes to War. In the trailer River says that the Doctor will rise higher than ever before then fall further and faster then he e'er has. The tenth was on the cusp of such a fall when he declared himself Time Lord Victorious. So I am thinking that the 11th will have some day of reckoning some ominous forthcoming day when he will again declare himself Time Lord Victorious and someone will have to stop him again.

  • @ChibiProwl And that someone wil cause him to be emmensely horrorstruck.

  • Haha! River married a robot - not the Doctor! Whoo!

  • meta

  • I NO DE ANSWERE: IT IS THETA!!!!

  • @Alysin123 Learn to spell, and Theata was his frat name you dumb shit

  • @ZipZagginGallifrey sorry, my mistake, but it works for my theta/koschei fanfiction!!! SO DONT TAKE THAT TONE WITH ME!! AND THEN BLEP OFF ANBD HAVE AN NICE DAY!!!

  • Who else thinks Moffat had this planned out right from the beggining at series 4?

  • no this should NEVER be answered... it would spoil the whole show.... the mystery is what makes it...no way ever ever should this be answered

  • @fenric71 Agreed - I'll personally throw a Brick through Steven Moffat's window if he does this in 2012

  • @RegenerationStorm I really doubt it.

  • @JamHam64 Oh yeah? I live by him - because of BBC I can't reveal his adress, but theyre damned if I feel like throwing a Breeze Block through his window O.-

  • @RegenerationStorm I might join you! I like him but if he even goes there on this one I would be mega p*ssed off and I been watching since the last Jon Pertwee.... as for Tom Baker and teh Theta business he did say it was his nickname... that's just to the person at the top of the page...

  • @RegenerationStorm hmm might feel inclined to join you and I like Steven Moffat.. AS for his name, Theta was a nickname he was given at thte acadamy, that's what the 4th Doctor says... I remember it clearly when I was a kid. I never want to know it ever... don't spoil it please MR Moffat...

  • @fenric71 That's what keeps the spirit alive - Name the Doctor and that's the final end of it, it'll be Doctor Bob or Doctor Death. It will spoil it and the only person riding on the cash and leaving the show in ruins will be this curley haired scottish bastard ,I am disgusted Russel hired him as a writer and I am disgusted in how diabolical his talent of writing has become and the way he treats pro actors like Matt and Alex like pieces of shit on screen, I HATE Doctor DW Who -

  • @RegenerationStorm Oh fuck off you moron...by this logic I bet you hated it when The Doctor's origins were revealed in "The War Games", that helped take away a LOT of the initial mystery and the show certaingly died a...OH WAIT, IT DIDNT. Moffat knows what he's doing and if you don't like it...well, you were never a real fan of Doctor Who to begin with, you're one of those fickle little chavs who dislike change, which is what DW is all about

  • @ZipZagginGallifrey That's where you as a Doctor DW Who BBC fan would like to over exaggerate my line of belief whilst without knowledge of how I actually feel about it. DOCTOR FRIKKIN WHO is a question that must never be revealed , and every writer before Moffat has been very smart to either go somewhere else with the character or to explore it to an extent that it does not ruin the secrecy. I wouldn't care less if he was a dad or a husband to a wife, but naming him and destroying his identity?

  • @ZipZagginGallifrey shut up you stupid cunt. he's not a chav. he's right. moffat ruined doctor who. end of story. go fuck your sister.

  • @raspike13b do we really have to stoop into cursing? and incest? moffat is just putting the spotlight on the mystery that is the doctor. he's not going to reveal the name. if the doctor is going to tell his name to someone on the fields of tranzalore, it's either through a whisper. or maybe the show will get all silent; the camara will show the back of his head with the person's reaction, and something wicked will happen.

  • @jumpingflyingsadfish Yes I get your point, I was just angry with what that person said, but my point still stands. Since Moffat has been in charge, Doctor Who has been going downhill, and if they really reveal who the Doctor is, then it will completely spoil it

  • @raspike13b That is true. as i am a big doctor who fan. it true that the show is going downhill and moffat has say it was but he said he will get doctor who back on track in season 7.

  • @CPTTAYLOR592 I truely hope he does

  • @raspike13b You have no point to begin with faggot. Doctor Who has not been going downhill at all. It's still a ratings and commercial success, you are in a very vocal MINORITY that hate it. TRUE fans still enjoy it and find Moffat's work brilliant. He also knows what he's doing. The Doctor's name is a good hook for season seven, so close to the 50th anniversary, and there's nothing wrong with exploiting it. Don't like it? Don't watch it crybaby, the rest of us are enjoying it.

  • @ZipZagginGallifrey excuse me but would you mind dropping the homophobic language please there is no need for it. I have watched DW since i can remember remembering Jon P and spiders as my first memory, and I really hope they do not reveal his name, that is the poinjt I am putting across I am a true fan and always will be I just think it would be bad for the series.. no need to get horrid and homphobic terms I hate as I am gay myself.

  • @jumpingflyingsadfish I agree there is no need to be nasty to anyone.... I hope he does not spoil it, that is all I said, it would spoil Doctor Who, THey didn't do it in silence of the library so I hope Stephen Moffat being a lifelong fan as I am (ok he has 10 years on me I am only 40) understands he has made some fans uneasy...

  • @ZipZagginGallifrey do we really have to stoop into cursing, really? it's not going to put the point across for anyone.

  • @fenric71 even if its spoiled eventually maybe after another 48 years they will reveal it, and i can't wait..

  • @fenric71 Except maybe in the very last episode EVER. End of his last incarnation, he's about to be killed off for real, or he has been killed off, and someone who knows his name says it as part of the end narration. That could be an epic ending if done just right.

Of course, then you wouldn't be able to go back and watch the series without that knowledge.

  • @AtarahDerek That hopefully will NEVER happen, I remember the wilderness years.... they were awful, but then Big Finish productions came along and saved us all then it came back on TV! wow, no Doctor who will never end, even if it went off TV again which may well happen one day it will always carry on in some form... here's to the last 48 years and the next 60....

  • not a reincarnation , but The Other Him self...River showed you can re-gen into any form ..even a childs.

And in the Sarah jane adventure where she meets the newest doctor...he tell Jake ( I think ) he could re-gen 500+times

It would explanes some left over mysterys from the first series , last few shows.

  • I know this universe is post-gallifrey destruction but im really hoping they explore the revelations that they were planning to do before the original series was cancelled which they put into the books instead. That the Doctor is actually the reincarnation of The Other, one of the three founders of Time Lord society alongside Rassilon and Omega.

  • His Name

    1: Benjamin

    2: Matt Smith

    3:Jim

  • @SuperKitty1301 benjamin that'd be ok coz that's my name...

  • @SuperKitty1301 Nooo, John Smith haha

  • Actually, this is not the first time the title's significance has been brought up. In "The Girl in the Fireplace", when the Doctor is scanning Annette's mind to find some clue about the clockwork soldiers and why they're after her, she remarks: "Doctor Who... It's not just a question, is it?"

    A hidden clue? Maybe.

  • It's Bob.

  • DOCTOR...PHIL!

  • the fall of the 11th bit of a hint... :/

  • The ultimate question of life, the universe and everything has finally been found.

    "Doctor Who?"

    DOCTOR 42!!!

  • The. freaking. question.

    beautiful.

  • when i saw this episode, i freaked the hell out. I had no freaking idea how they could get the doctor out of this one. All i could think afterwards was

    Moffat, you god damn genuis.

  • Considering the question ended up being "Doctor Who"; I get the feeling that "the fall of the 11th" isn't referring to the Doctor.

  • What does that blue thing mean by "fall of the 11th"???

  • @Random90cookie "blue thing"? You mean dorium? And by Fall of the 11th he means the 11th doctors regeneration.
