I know this universe is post-gallifrey destruction but im really hoping they explore the revelations that they were planning to do before the original series was cancelled which they put into the books instead. Actually, this is not the first time the title's significance has been brought up. In "The Girl in the Fireplace", when the Doctor is scanning Annette's mind to find some clue about the clockwork soldiers and why they're after her, she remarks: "Doctor Who... It's not just a question, is it?"
I like the line about he got to "too big, too noisy." The Doctor encouraged his reputation as a great warrior in order to intimidate people into standing down. It seemed like a good idea at the time, build your street cred so people back down and you solve everything at the bargaining table. But it also made people very afraid, and people who are terrified don't always think things through. Sometimes they just try and kill you.

The First Question is actually an important issue of logic dealing with human minds trying to understand the infinite the Poet Dante might put like this. How do you define God? Funny, I think Moffat has done quite well. I've been watching since the 3rd doctor and he and Matt Smith have made a great team. Series 6 of the current version had more WTF? and OMG! moments since Tom Baker set the gold standard for the role.

You know...Ithink the fall of the 11th is a callback to the episode A Good Man Goes to War. In the trailer River says that the Doctor will rise higher than ever before then fall further and faster then he e'er has. The tenth was on the cusp of such a fall when he declared himself Time Lord Victorious. So I am thinking that the 11th will have some day of reckoning some ominous forthcoming day when he will again declare himself Time Lord Victorious and someone will have to stop him again.

TRUE fans still enjoy it and find Moffat's work brilliant. He also knows what he's doing. The Doctor's name is a good hook for season seven, so close to the 50th anniversary, and there's nothing wrong with exploiting it. Don't like it? @fenric71 Except maybe in the very last episode EVER. End of his last incarnation, he's about to be killed off for real, or he has been killed off, and someone who knows his name says it as part of the end narration. That could be an epic ending if done just right.
Of course, then you wouldn't be able to go back and watch the series without that knowledge.

I know this universe is post-gallifrey destruction but im really hoping they explore the revelations that they were planning to do before the original series was cancelled which they put into the books instead. That the Doctor is actually the reincarnation of The Other, one of the three founders of Time Lord society alongside Rassilon and Omega.

I like the line about he got to "too big, too noisy." The Doctor encouraged his reputation as a great warrior in order to intimidate people into standing down. It seemed like a good idea at the time, build your street cred so people back down and you solve everything at the bargaining table. But it also made people very afraid, and people who are terrified don't always think things through. Sometimes they just try and kill you.
