I am trying to set up a home recording studio and I have a Behringer mixer and computer and I also have my music components like a cd player and cassette player connected to the mixer and I have a microphone connected to the mixer.

I have no idea what to do to set up a studio. I want to record my vocals and a karaoke track together and then post on the computer, not sure what to do. Do I need to purchase a USB audio interface device? and if so can you tell me how to set the system up?

you need a "big consol with faders" after a while,

its better to work with it & its faster!

look on the digi 002 or project mix!

they have internal soundcard & mic ins phantom powered,motorfaders etc......you dont need it but its better if you want serios producing, nobody wants to have a mouse in the hand and playing with the virtual mixer on your pc!!!! with your DAW its much comfortable!!!
