Man this was the best boss ever. I totally love this game, and the simultaneous 2 player is always fun.

Hammer works pretty well on this boss. I can't remember how much damage it can do, but the up swing and throw are devastating to these guys =P

We didn't need all the fancy stuff of today, all we needed was our good old little Snes.

Super Mario World, A Link to the Past, Kirby Superstar, Donkey Kong trilogy, and so on.

@RogueChinchilla I don't know about the original but in Superstar Ultra up swing does about 40 damage in one swing

@ZeroStormrageBX that's DS right? cause I'm pretty sure in SNES when you do it (the hammer starts flaming and what not) its pretty darn powerful.

Yeah the remake for DS, I'm not entirely sure about the damage though, I know the throw can kill the wizard in one hit. hammer is still the strongest attacks in the game but only against bosses, too slow to use against faster enemies

That's 'cause the hammer up swing is the most powerful attack in the game, besides the one use crash/paint/etc. skills

It also reminds me of the NES Dragon Warrior. It is just like it.

What's also hilarious is that you actually "level up" after killing this boss. (Not that it's really an RPG, but WTF.) XD

Lucky for you, Kirby Super Star Ultra is coming out for the DS on September 22nd. Better graphics and 3D cinematics make me want to scream like a girl. Seriously, the game is the shit!
