this is one of my favorite songs of all time. I remember me and my dad planned our whole night when they were on austin city limits. he let me stay up late and everything. :-) i have since had to buy their albums a few times over cause all of us kids keep takin his desert rose cd's. that and we wore a cassette of theirs out! haha- they're just too good :-) i love how they watch each other play, they respect each other's talent that's awesome.
Not only were these guys great singers, but they were the best at playing their own instruments. notice how John can make his guitar talk...pure brilliance
So called Country Music Groups nowdays cant hold a candle to these guys. The late 80s-late 90s some of the very best country music came out, Most so called country singers cant sing to save their lives and dress like thugs and sluts
I saw DRB in September '91, right before John left DRB to join Nez for the "...tropical campfire's..." project. I remember, he had a fever and was really sick that night, but you'd never know it when he'd tear into "Hello, Trouble." John Jorgenson is a consumate professional and and one of the best at what he does. I really enjoyed his contribution to Nez's projects, too.
Please Get Back Together
