  • whats the measurement for the rectangular half?

  • does you guys have like a 'how to' instructions that i can print out or write down?

  • are bigger or smaller cubes bettter??

  • how large is the pillow chair in the end? radius?

  • u could make liner out of fuzed plastic bags and a zipper...

  • If you rather would make 12 panels you should shange the angle from 60 degrees to 30 degrees because a circle always is 360 degrees and 60 times 6 is 360 and 30 times 12 is 360

  • Thanks for the idea.. <3

  • I'm having trouble finding filling for my beanbag, i've made the whole thing, but I can't find any couch cushions :( I tried finding recycled packing peanuts but no one will donate them, and they cost alot, what should i do? :(

  • @rayefirerobin If you know of a place that does custom upholstery, ask for their scrap foam!

  • lol. blue asu shirt

  • @pulgalopz blue ASU Herberger College student council shirt, no less! =]

  • cool idea. but i would of used heavy duty velcro for a closing fastner. that way you can just empty out the chair for easy washing.

other than that... great idea though!!!!!

  • No clue if it has been said before but you could also use a zipper on the back in case you want to add more stuffing.

  • This is really cool! thanks! =-D

  • I like recycling.

  • Cool idea! Thanks!

  • i have tons of old metallica shirts that dont fit me anymore...

a solid black metallica beanbag chair?

    that would be wicked sweet.

  • veeery sweet dude

  • do you think packing peanuts would be to hard to use?

  • @jackcamryn They should work just fine, go for it!

  • that is soo cool I will have to do this one.I have tonnes of t-shirts

  • Wow.. dats a great idea. Never considered of using my old t-shirts to make a chair. Thanks for the idea. ^_^

  • Tempted to make this...

  • nice ;)

  • Great project :)

  • Thanks makemagazine. Now my girlfriend has an exuse to cut up my old comfortable t-shirts.

  • Haha no doubt eh =P

  • bet that's one comfy chair. And the T-shirts must make it extra comfy. I remember the old bean bag chairs, would be hot and sticky in the summer as a kid. GREAT CRAFT!

  • pretty cool, do they still sell bean bag chairs?

  • Great project. Good fun. Strange... Somehow Tiffany reminds me a bit of Sigourney Weaver ;)

  • I usually dont really go for the Craft vids but I liked this one! Only hang up I have is the suggestion of using an old mattress for the stuffing... too many variables to go wrong for that one! LOL

  • excellent! perhaps you should try to suggest that "recycled" foam from an old mattress be put through a wash cycle before putting it in your beanbag chair etc.

  • Whoa something on craft that I might actually do!

  • hear is a tip electric carving knife will cut foam like butter.

  • wow, great idea! id love to try this one day....inspirational....:D

  • If you have static problems when cutting the foam you can have some dryer sheets handy and wipe the sissors down occasionally.

  • Man, that looks so comfy!

  • wish i still had alot of my old metal/rock shirts that would have been cool

  • oh man where did they get that barcode t shirt.

  • @madvideogamer I made that for a halloween costume one year! =]

  • im definitelly gonna try this...but i hate the whole mismatched look so i think im gonna just buy a bunch of XXXL t-shirts from the swap meet since they're so cheap there and make one so its all the same color...great tut girls.

  • SO COOL! :D

  • Wow this is great :)

  • Good )

  • Cool

  • love this one

  • i want a tiffany for my house!

  • 3:17 LOL She said "Spear" I know what she meant but it made me laugh none the less.

Great Video BTW I love these kind of crafts. I've been doing these for years. Thats probably why I keep normally unusable junk. (^_^)

  • nice project , a lot of work tho :P and a lot of t shirts

  • I like this stuff

  • That looks really comfortable!!!

  • Good except those T-shirts looked new not old.

9.99 out of 10 for the idea

  • @codesurfer1 some of them were old/worn/stained and some of them were freebies that i never planned on wearing!

  • if you want to make more of these, signup to your local freecycle and put a wanted advertisement for tshirts, you should have someone offer them to you. :)

  • When I consider my shirts "old"... I can't use them for this project, because they already have HOLES ! LOL..

  • this is a cool project, i also liked your firefox necklace becky and tiffany's dragon ball z skirt.keep up the good work.

  • Make a pillow out of old shirts I've seen and owned one. I have one still and I made it from an old t shirt that had holes, a bunch of those gilligan hats and some socks. its not real comfy but its functional. and one time I had a T shirt my cousin gave me and it was stuffed with cotton or was it polyester I cant remember but the arm, head and bottom holes were sealed so it was like a pillow.

  • shes wearing a dragon ball z skirt =)

  • Please don't fuss at me for this but can you use the pellets of styrofoam you get in packages from other people? It's recycling but is it safe?

  • @Howlinatthemoon yep, styrofoam peanuts make great bean bag filling!

  • @makemagazine Cool! Thanks!

  • i would have put a zipper just in case i want to add more "guts" to put in the chair

  • Very cool. If I get my own pad I'd like to make one.

Much better than a store-bought one.

Finding enough junk to put in it would be the tricky part though.

  • Definitely looks like a lot of work but its recycling so WHEW!

  • Recycling products FTW!

  • lot of work but cool

  • i might have to try this for when i go to college..

  • you could fill the chair with t shirt scraps.....

  • thats alot of scraps you'd have to find

  • Cool! How many T-Shirts Did you use?

  • @chngngsldr54 about 14. Some of my shirts weren't big enough to get two pieces. Check the link in the description for more info.

  • @chngngsldr54

    5 sides 2 shirts each side - so 10 shirts i guess

  • @MisterFIXXX six panels total (we said five *more* after the first one), so 12 shirts if they're all big enough to get two panels from. Check the link in the description for more details.

  • That's cool, I have a pillow I made out of an INXS t-shirt. I love it!!!

  • Really awesome.

  • pins would hold down the template better

  • thats a hassle though pinning every time and taking out the pins every time

  • you know, you could of made pockets etc on the bean bag with the left over material.

  • @crippin798 Pockets would be great for holding the tv remote or tv guide. They should have done thet. Great Idea. :)

  • awesome, as usual. thanks ladies!

  • it seems like so much work.

  • wouldn't the foam set after a while, and make the chair be all flat?

  • @App13c0r3 not any more than your couch or mattress, which uses the same material.

  • This one is really really cool. I may actually do this one.

  • Great. Now I have to have kids to do this project.

  • good luck

  • That's pretty cool, and you could've shown "a little" more than a second of the end product...and more angles, while we're at it :)

  • @detubator check out the blog post linked in the descrip, there's a photo!

  • @makemagazine O OK I C, thanks :)

  • i'm makin 1!

  • My mom saw this and made one with my old t-shirts, but stuffed it with cutted up t-shirts! Its so comfy, and im sitting on it right now! Maybe ill take a nap.... zzzzzz

  • That's a cool idea. Why not add in a zipper to add/subtract stuffing at a later time?

Not sure how well it would stand up to people flopping/pouncing on it though. hehe.

  • @davidproper Nope, but you could add one if you wanted!

  • It would have made a lot more sense to cut through both sides and have duplicates instead of the one half on the parabola and one half on the rectangle.

  • @Zaekk I was going for a colorblocking effect, so that I didn't have too many shapes of the same color. But you're right, that would be faster!

  • don't use apolstry foam!

    it's way to expensive!

They sell bean bag been refills sacks at wal-mart and many furniture stores

  • @freeNode5 You can find free upholstery foam, like we said in the video, since it doesn't have to be in great shape (since you're just cutting it into small chunks anyway). But thanks for the suggestion about the refill!

  • Cool!

  • This is awesome!1!!

  • YES!!!

  • cool i don't have time to do anything like this but someones gotta
