I have a 1969 GTO and a 1968 Charger. Hard to tell which one looks sexier. Both look great. But the Charger will eat the GTO's lunch on the street

thats a sexy muscle car, it looks a bit like an australian car called the monaro which gm australia ceased in 78' then recommenced in 01' which they sold to pontiac as the 06' gto. Its almost as if the gto and monaro are from parallell universes and australia is bizarro world. Lol

i saw a pontiac commerical when the new 2006 gto came out, it draged a 69 gto judge and lost by a fender and a door. then read an articule about that commerical in carcraft and the driver of the judge said he could smoked the new gto but was told not to. he ended up losing his job with GM causehe said something about the new procharged gto's wont do what the public is lead to believe. the 69 gto did a 10.6 qtr mile stock. the new procharged ones are lucky to see a 11

I LOVE GTO's have had a hand in restoring a few. However there has never been a factory GTO to run 10.6 in the 1/4. A Ram Air IV with the right gear could hit 12.8. Now if you factor in the over the counter Ram Air V, that one could hit 10.6, but none ever made it to the showroom. They killed the program due to high insurance rates that helped kill the Muscle Car. I do agree however the 69' was told to let off, to not show up the 2006.
