@deadmeu Microsoft Flight Simulator X is good start as its user friendly and has lots of both payware and freeware addons, this one is FSX. If you have bad computer then I would recommend older version, FS9 alias FS2004.

Also from new simulators there is one called X plane 10, its good too but not very friendly to new user. Also MS is making one called "Flight", but it has no whole world and its not real simulator but mostly just silly arcade game.

My uncle in San Antonio, Texas, actually bought this plane used. I got to say that carenado did a extremely good job re-creating this aircraft. It flys just liek the real one, it sounds like it, and the cockpit (VC) is 100% acurate. The price of the real Rockwell Commander 112/114 ranges from $78,000 USD (used) to about $350,000 Brand new. Its out of production now...(which means Rockwell has stopped manufacturing it).

Your back! I have an interesting request for you: the scenery for Plum Island 2B2 is FANTASTIC and completely unknown. It has a really interesting location with amazing Boston (not the city, about 60 miles away from the city) photoreal scenery that stretches about 50nm out. I would love to see you making some Carenado plane landing there! Definitley worth the money for this scenery.

Hey Steve can you please post a vid of you landing a Carenado Cessna 182Q landing at Fresno Chandler Executive Airport. And if you cant use the Cessna 182 then could you use a Flight 1 Pilatus PC-12. I would really like to see someone land at this airport unfortunately i think back in 2006 runway 30R was closed for no apparent reason but in FSX its not closed so that gives you a bit of an advantage. P.S. runway 30R is now a taxiway

@videoman237 its just hawaii. and you can buy whichever areas you want as more come available. its just a big mess in my opinion. personally i think they went backwards with the FS genre. with fs2002 it was decent, then fs9 it got even better, fsx's graphic capabilities blew people away, so the next one should be even better! nope.

The commander in real life tho sucks. They dont perform well and have a lot of expensive AD's. Thats why you dont see a lot flying.

I have never seen an aircraft like the commander 114 where the landing gear goes up 1 at a time, and have you ever thought of doing some segments in Las vegas in some of your aircraft? there are small airports, intl. airport, and an air force base.

@Cessna154, I got them both yesterday. Thanks steve, I love the Commander 114's VC, It's amazing quality but I have found a problem with the trim because no matter how you trim the elevator it's really twitchy on takeoff and I sometimes stall when I rotate. Overall though, two great addons, and I do love the view from the DA-40.
