  • why the hell dispatcher allowed this plane fly into the storm zone? What for are dispatchers on the ground for? Idiots, who can risk human lives like that?

  • Wasn't Quagmire

  • Holy shitt that so awsome thank god for good pilots that don't do drugs an stuff

  • LIKE A BOSS!!

  • SOUL PANE LOL

  • Nice. No crash. Job well done.

  • oh, my fucking god i would have freaked the shit out of my ass if i was on that plane. dayyyum.

  • Yes we do have tornadoes in Germany! But this was a great storm in fall affecting the north of Germany!

  • Funny how the foresight to go down to the airport in a windstorm to film plane crashes doesn't occur to airline pilots or air traffic officials.

  • why even fly in windy weather . that wind storm was all over europe . stupid people . use good judgement idots. if that air plan crashed then people whould be like what happend . STUPID .

  • i dont think they have tornado's in germany.

  • one damn good pilot!

  • now thats what you call an Ace pilot!

  • This goes to prove, the Germans still make amazing pilots.

  • HAHAHAHAH I'm Laughing SO Hard!

  • not a tornado, just extreme wind.

  • REPTILE PLANE

  • No, there wasn't a tornado. It was just really high winds.

  • Pucker time!!

  • GREAT PILOTO E CO-PILOT HAS CHOICE TO DON'T TOUCHDOWN ... AND THEY SAVED 350 LIFES

  • the retards who made the vid should have been in special ed dumbass there was no tornado

  • @xxscoobysnacksx There was in the distance, didn't you hear the sirens and wind? Dumbass...

  • Its called a cross wind landing and every pilot learns it in flight school within days of their first hour of hands on training. No big deal. And definitely no tornado as listed in the title.

  • This is your average landing in Wellington, NZ.

  • @cynicinaminute I'm flying from Auckland to Wellington tomorrow, don't make me nervous -.-

  • it wasn't a tornado it was a big wind gust that hit the plane.

  • pure skills !!

  • WHAT tornado, you ill-informed douchebag?

  • Drunk flyers jeeze

  • Im pretty shure @ 57 he said blowjob

  • :O

  • german pilots the best......

  • micro-burst?

  • whers the tornado hu ?

  • holy crap

  • i misseed the tornado

  • All the screaming passengers sounded like a tornado

  • I seem to have missed the tornado.

  • Nagyon durva...

  • lol where the fucs the tornado? The plane cant even fly but dudes standin there tapin and the winds hardly blowin lol U sure he wasnt jus drunk?

  • @fucut00b No, there was just some very hight winds. There is no tornados in Europe anyway. :D

  • And this is why the airliner no longer has bring your kid to work day... "what does this one do dad?"

  • Oh Fuck I forgot my Blackberry! Shiiiit, ooooohh god, ooooh jeez, ooohh im soo sry, oooh god im sry gimme a sec, oooooh fuck!

  • good pilot.

  • @NomadiCortex He hit the ground with the wing and needed to stay crabbed until touchdown. You're right though, any lesser pilot would not have flown away.

  • Pilot

    "Oh crap, wrong airport!"

  • i dont want to know how it smells in the plane after that stunt. im sure all passangers shit their pant. but they can also be happy to smell something at all.

  • what a failured title... that was at the time from the "storm" Kyrill... there never was a Tornado ..

  • HOLY FUCK. I shit my pants.

  • Not Tornado.....Come from Hamburg.

  • DAMN tHAT WAS INTENSE...

  • YOU'RE TEARING ME APART WINDSHEAR!!!

  • Nice!

  • no tornado here - only gale force winds and sheer.

  • amateurs..... first he should of initiated the maximum capacitor, then disengaged the flux capacitor, then swaddled the tension release rods, and jimmied up on the thrust blow back reduction module. Then he would have had to shut off all transmit transistiors, and swiddle the posium release valves. Only then would this been avoided. ( P.S- I Have no idea what the fuck im talking about)

  • @MrDizMay lol flux capacitor, nice one

  • @MrDizMay lol

  • @MrDizMay I was thinking the exact same thing...

  • @MrDizMay HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH

  • @MrDizMay I don't know, but it was definately star trek lingo

  • God had his hand on the plane pulling it the other way to keep the plane from crashing

  • Wow! Thank the Lord it didn't crash.

  • you can see that sourkraut hammer on the throttles at :50

  • its no wonder the luftwaffe lost

  • Ah common! The pilot should have know way sooner than he did just by the shear vector he had to take on approach. Hot shot piece of struddel. They could have all been dead and not because of some stupid tornado!

  • @tarmbruster1 I'm guessing the tower told him that it was all right to land and maybe he was running low on fuel from circling the airport waiting for the storm to pass over. But I think they where just lucky to have a good enough pilot to prevent them from crashing. It could have been a lot worse.

  • Stewardess! Get me another drink.

  • Was that one, or two, wingtip strikes?

  • My guess is, that in such a windshear, a landing from RWY05 would've been more feasible. RWY33 is not the best for landings when the wind is blowing from north-northeast, like in this vid.

  • holy shit!

  • land...pussy

  • Turbulance not tornado, did you make a spelling mistake?

  • "AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!" Piilot: "what? I got it..."

  • No thanks...

  • Great shit man!

  • Holy...................Shit

  • people on you tube say nothing but mean stuff. fuk all of you.

  • @RJNStudios I know it makes me sad. They are saying the rudest things right now about the tornado disasters. :/

  • @RJNStudios Fuck you too!

  • This guy drifts with his plane!

  • I was the pilot. Everyone said, THANK YOU Mr. Pilot. You're SUPERawesome. And then we danced. WE DANCED THE DANCE OF LIFE!

  • @f123raptor Fuck you and the tanted strudel youve been eating

  • @tarmbruster1 Learn to spell.

  • @f123raptor like Magic spell?

  • Not a tornado.

  • Is that what you call a Tornado in Germany?

Tor would be ashamed of you.

  • lol look like the pilot are drunk... no drunk n flyin pal :P

  • What tornado. He just flies for Northwest.

  • good footage people!

  • wtf no tornado

  • Where's the Tornado?

  • The people on board must have been terrified....

  • @christytina81 i would have choked the passenger next to me right after I threw my feces at a little girl. SCARY!

  • @WhatWouldPacoDo That made me LOL for real.....

  • Had I been on that plane I would have soiled myself. I hate flying.

  • Respect!!!

  • Must have been US Scare!

  • Nah, he was just practicing "scrape" and goes...both wings!

  • Great piolot he saved Many lives

  • Looks to me as if Lloyd Bridges picked the wrong day to quit smoking

  • I'd be shittin my pants as a passenger!

  • thanks god. the accident wasn't happen

  • That air pilot kicked some major ass!! He's my hero or her.. Lol

  • right people just because there is a strong wind does NOT mean that its a tornado

  • this a perfect example of stupidity of a pilot.he necessarely had an alternate landing airport by law, an 45 minutes more of fuel. Why the hell risk life.

but automatic wheather data collecting station could maybe be the cause of it as well. no man observation anymore.

  • yes there are tornadoes in germany -_-" NOT!

  • This is an Airbus ... right??

Does the fly by 'joystick' have anything at all to do with the slight lack of control??

Would a 737-400 have behaved the same in that scenario?

  • The wind is way stronger near the ground, the approach was correct, but the plane jumped on an air cushion.. Not exactly the best landing skills, but at least they saved it with the touch & go

  • The pilot was very hungry. No tornado though just a cross wind.

  • der hamburger slang is so kool^^

  • Tornado eh? Where is there a tornado anywhere in that?

  • The pilot only has numbers to go by. He has the limitations of his aircraft (or airline) and he has the metar/taf for that particular airport. As anyone in the field knows, these aren't the most highly accurate thing on earth. since a pilot can only go by what the wx reports say, and he/she can't "see" wind gusts i'd say he did what any other pilot might've done, maybe he stubbornly aborted later than most. but most pilots would've probably attempted it and shot a missed approach.

  • It's funny how YouTube has transitioned me from Tornadoes to Shelf Clouds to Planes in Crosswinds and now on the verge of going back to "Tornado" videos, some with and some without Tornadoes...

  • @DjKDM7000 yeah dude. I started with cruise ships in storm, went to ghost ships, then navy ships, cyclones, and big storms, and now here at planes.

  • @ uploader

hamburg's airport is just 2 or 3 miles away from our house

and i can say that there wasnt any shit tornado

    - it was just heavily windy -.-

    @doh1959

the pilots were men (one with 30y experience) and not a 24y old woman

    - next time check the truth of your informations dude

@ the rest whos thinking the pilots were stupid

the pilots just follow orders of the tower and the order was to try it

the tower were risking it and the pilots saved it

  • @xFreeway it's the pilot's decision in all cases. Atc does not order a pilot to attempt a landing. the pilot has the applicable weather info and operating handbook for the aircraft he is flying and makes educated guesses as to what his course of action should be. their are aircraft limitations- also limitations set forth by the airline that most likely won't let him get close to those. A go around is always the pilot's decision unless waived off by the tower.

  • @xFreeway : Have you even read the incident report? You're the one who should have checked the facts, "dude".

  • omg i would have shit my pants 0.o and once we landed safely i would have killed the pilot for doing such a stupid and reckless stunt risking everyone's lives. Families. Children. Motherfuckers.

  • @xOoHappyBunny95oOx The pilot is the reason everyone is alive.

  • @williepayt01 The pilot is the reason everyone almost died in the first place! But I do admit, that was some pro save right there.

  • was female pilot and thats the truth google it she was 24 i bet shes hot as fuck

  • fake

  • I see gale force winds but I don't see a tornado anywhere.

  • @ :40 I was like ooooooOooooOOOOOOOOOOO damn that was close lol

  • Cool video but wheres the Tornado?!

  • airline drifting mad skillz

  • It's just a crosswind, you'd be surprised how often you have those when you land. This almost ended badly though that's for sure.

  • If you don't understand German, this is what was said inside the airplane "AAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!"

  • guess they have tornadoes alot in germany... whatevs+ this actually happens alot in las vegas... like I'll watch airplains come in like sideways, but at the las second flip in back haha pretty scary.

  • This looked like a crazy risk. I assume they were out of fuel or something.

  • ich bin habe noobe neeber

  • I just find it kind of silly people would assume it was the pilot's fault before blaming the airlines... You know pilots don't like dying too...

Airlines alway try to save money by filling the tanks as little as possible. Very often if something happens the plane would run out of fuel and is forced to land at a closer airport. I am guessing this plane was dangerously low on fuel and didn't had much choice but to land as soon as possible.

  • @kvnchg Did you just say that airlines save money on fuel by not buying fuel?

  • Comment removed

  • @Nebzz There are articles on pilots complaining about their airlines being stingy and forcing them to fly uncomfortably low on fuel, For some reason I can't link it here on youtube.

Airlines want to make money, carrying extra fuel ends up wasting fuel, because oil is heavy. Just wanted to say, if something does happen and these planes with no extra fuel are forced to go into a holding pattern, they don't have enough fuel to stay in the air for that much longer. Which I think is what happened...

  • I can say with a reasonable certainty that either that exceeded the crosswind component limit and someone should be fired for authorizing it, or if it didn't exceed the limit, the pilot should be fired for very nearly killing everyone on board the flight.

That wasn't nearly as "pro" as most people think it was.

  • @PaleRider00

Ya, because flying tons of metal is always the same experience every single time.

  • @Fonzie8819

We're not talking about some guy who just sometimes goes out for a spin in his little private plane. This is a professional airline pilot, who by virtue of BEING a professional airline pilot, must have several thousand hours of flight. Is it the same every time? No. But it's not like this is something new.

  • @PaleRider00 ...any landing you can walk away from is a good landing...!

  • Pro!? Courageous!?

Epic fail on the part of the controllers, and epic fail on the part of the pilot.

The only good thing was that the pilots managed to pull their heads out of their asses at the last moment and abort after almost killing everyone on board.

Pilot was a fool to attempt a landing under those conditions.

Tower was playing a dangerous game by allowing landings under those conditions.

Unless there was no alternative landing sites, that runway should have been shut down.

  • @freezingman Thanks for your opinion, go back to playing air traffic control on flightsim. If you had though before you spoke you would have realized that diverting an aircraft cost lots of money to the airline, fuel to get the plane back, accommodations for the passengers, and the cost to get the passengers to their destination on a different flight. More than just the pilots and air traffic control are behind that landing attempt.

  • @CA477544 lets see..... money or 200 plus peoples lives ...hummm lets weight this one out

  • @badkarma44 You would be surprised how many airlines, and other larger corporations would choose money.

  • @CA477544 you know what.... your probably right . maybe 'they' should weight that out then

  • @badkarma44 I'm not saying it's right or that I agree with it, I'm just saying that that's how it is and there's more people to blame than just the pilots.

  • @CA477544: Don't troll me. Your comment regarding cost of diverting is asinine. Costs don't excuse flying outside recommended limits.

They had a better choice of runways. The runway they chose had a crosswind component of 25 knots gusting to 40. Their alternate had 17g30, where the plane landed after the go around.

The pilots attempted to land on a wet runway with a crosswind exceeding demonstrated safe values for an A320 and were lucky to make it out with just a wing scrape.

  • @freezingman - you are so dumb.

  • @freezingman - you are so dumb.

  • @freezingman - you are so dumb.

  • @freezingman

    You're an idiot.

  • @freezingman Theres way worse Crosswinds than this one.

    Fool

  • @freezingman maybe they were low on fuel

  • @gonegolfn07 : No, they weren't low on fuel and had lots of reserve to divert or choose another runway with slightly less winds. It's in the incident report.

The incident report is an interesting read, although a bit of a whitewash for the senior pilot. I'm sure he's been sufficiently embarrassed by the incident though.

  • @freezingman Do you have any idea the pressure these pilots are under to fly in bad weather? They are constantly forced to take off and land in VERY bad weather and why? So whinny- ass passengers won't complain that they had to wait an extra 10 minutes to go gamble or lay their fat carcasses on the beach. Then on the other side of it, they have to put up with their billionaire bosses telling them how much they lose when they have to do a re-pass because we all know they cannot afford to lose...

  • @freezingman ... few dollars for a safe landing. Why don't you pull your head out of your ass and realize no one in their right mind would try something like that unless they were being pressured to do so.Obviously, you have no idea what you are talking about. Maybe you should go learn to fly a plane for a living (instead of flipping burgers) and see what it is like before you shoot your mouth off. You know, the "walk in someone else's shoes" deal???

  • @WallaceWinstonWright What a dumbass thing to say, and seriously disrespectful of the professional pilots in this video.

They made a bad call to land in conditions that exceeded safe parameters. Read the incident report before you shoot your stupid mouth off.

A professional pilot will not let their "bosses" interfere with safety decisions relating to operating the plane.

Maybe you're a spineless wimp that lets your boss/wife/world walk all over you, but don't assume that the pilots were.

  • @WallaceWinstonWright What a fucking idiot you are but you made us all LOL!

  • @freezingman i agree 100% and i'm a pilot.

  • pro-pilot

  • video of the 2nd attempt?

  • bad move on the pilots part. this dude was all over the runway could not stay on the glide path.

  • @TheWarped45 oh im sorry mr professional captain pilot sir.. i guess he wasnt good enough for you.

  • @battlefield2maniac would you like to fly with this guy seems like control tower shoulda restricted landing on that runway at the time. tell me does anyone know what a instrument landing is blindfolded only instruments without looking out the window.

  • @TheWarped45 yes i would very much.. he is a great pilot and quite courageous for attempting a landing with such terrible crosswinds. and yeah i know what that means...

  • @battlefield2maniac I have really never seen that happen to an aircraft. atmospheric conditions on the ground really are amazing like a tornado but just cant see what is happening.

  • Both wings got so close to the ground that that plane almost became a bus.

That would have been kind of fitting if its an Airbus.

  • I'm pretty sure that everyone on that plane needs a new pair of pants after that. I don't see how anyone could have not crapped their pants.

  • give this pilot a cookie, the other ones kill your family

  • damn that flight had to have sucked big time

  • That was damn close. He barely got out of that.

  • Id been shittin my pants...no doubt !

  • it's called crosswind

  • The passengers must have been shitting in their pants!

  • Epic Fail! Oh well...If at first you don't succeed...

  • goin around....lufthansa 1435

  • yes lufthansa has the best pilot traning in the world

  • There was no tornado, it was sidewind.

  • QUE CULO , CASI SE HACEN MIERDA !!!!

JAJAJ , ESE ES UN VERDADERO PILOTO XD

  • So schnell werden knapp 300 Tonnen zum Spielball von Wind und Wetter...
