and i'm having trouble finding a transparent picture for the main file, is there a way to make a transparent background for a picture?

@jpark0906 Have you installed "Spectrum Analyser" gadget already(downloadable from System Animator homepage)? It has to be running in order to let System Animator monitor sound output.

As for transparent background, programs like Photoshop allow you to make a pic transparent.

I keep getting an error message when I click on the script after I specifically made sure the destination path was correct w/ (\\)'s as well. I've read through the instructions multiple times and still get no result. Also when downloading ImageMagick I didn't notice a convert.exe file?

@will2wrath "convert.exe" exists in every version of ImageMagick. Just look for it carefully.

This animation building setup is already in its SIMPLEST form. Most of the time, errors are caused by some careless mistakes in the paths specified. If you really have difficulties dealing with scripts or this kind of things, I suggest you simply check out the video below with an alternative method of building similar animations WITHOUT ImageMagick or any extra programs.

Ok ive looked over the read me files and done what it said, changed the path names to where the convert.exe file is and where the .bg.png and main.png files are located but its coming up with ERROR: The folder you specified must contain the file "bg.png".

I really dont understand what is stopping it from working as everything is correct.

I have currantly d/l'ed the system animator and spectrum analyser and been playing about with them and think they are really cool, i have just watched this video and thought i would try using imagemagick but i think im alittle retared lol.

I dl'ed the imagemagick portable, unzipped it, then looked at it blankly as i had no idea what i was ment to do with it, i have afew imagers that i want to use but really have no idea what im doing, any help would be great.

The new version of System Animator supports an alternative and simpler method to create similar animations, WITHOUT ImageMagick or any other programs. It can be as simple as just dropping an image to the gadget, and you will get the animation! Check out the following video.

Yeah, the Spectrum Analyser has to be running and visible, no matter in 7 or Vista (sometimes it is not visible in some of my videos just because I cut out that part of the video lol). The best you can do is to either give it the lowest opacity (20%), or create a theme that is very small or almost invisible.

The .js script file is part of the "System Animator EQP Generator" tool, which is available for download on System Animator homepage under the "Make Your Animation" section. Just read the readme file include and it should answer most if not all of your questions.

The install path of ImageMagick is the path of folder where "convert.exe" is located.

Right-click on "convert.exe", choose "Properties" (the last option) and copy the location of the program. That is the install path you need.

What exactly is the path you used for your image folder?

The "standard" size for a 4:3 image is around 448x336, but the best size for you heavily depends on the speed of your CPU, and how much CPU power you are willing to use on the animation.

I have updated System Animator EQP Generator (v1.0.1) with better documentation on various issues, especially the width and height of the images used and the "divider" variables. You may want to check them out and make sure they are the best settings.

As a side note, I have updated most of the existing "Animated Picture" animations on my site to become RESIZABLE! :D
