Okay, anyways I have a question for everyone (if you feel the need to answer it):

If NerdFighters took over the world, would Nerd become the new 'cool'? And would being cool be considered 'nerdy'? So then wouldn't all the NerdFighters want to be cool to be nerds?

And if NerdFighters took over, would we get big headed and Power Hungry and everything, and start to fight EACH OTHER?

being involved in an organized system of volunteerism is often easier than trying to keep up with it on your own, but DO TRY to keep yourself involved in your community. because that is what volunteerism is, is involving yourself with your community.  involvement benefits you as well as those that you help. karma can bring around good things, too!

What a great suggestion for how to decrease world suck! I think that helping individuals with acts of caring is a way more valuable way to go about worldsuck decreasing than throwing money at charities (though that's a great thing too). You get to see the results quickly.

Sadly, now that I'm working full time it's easier to give money than time... I was sad when I had to quit my volunteer job (at the zoo!), but one has to make a living :-/

It is good to volunteer, but the question is not whether people should volunteer or not. I think that the question should be "Why don't people volunteer in the first place?"

But I'm just a critic, and I'm very glad that House of Kick made this video and it eliminates the opt-out of "I don't have any money".
