People change their minds about their musical preferences. I used to like this style of music, but after getting some musical education and debating about different styles of music with other students I changed my opinion of it. Its a perfectly reasonable discussion to have.

Arguing about music is nothing like arguing about which colour is the best. Its more like arguing about films. Each side can make points as to why they think one band is better than another. Obviously not everyone is going to like the same kinds of music but I don't think arguing about our different musical tastes is necessarily a bad thing. And what better place to do it than right here in the youtube comments section, I mean, I'm assuming that's what its there for.

So I just watched adtr's video...and honestly the only thing the same is that they are playing kickball. If we were to judge this as shitty by that, then any song with a guitar solo would be shitty because somebody else did a solo before. Is that really how we want to look at music? Somebody did something before, so anything new is horrible? If that were the case, the only good music would be Mozart or Wagner. I think this song is amazing! So what if some national sell out like adtr did it first

I don't understand how everyone is complaining that this band sounds like all these other signed national bands. THEY ARE A LOCAL BAND. Local bands have to start somewhere right? They have their influences and build on them and develop their sound. The guy saying the name is not even original, well maybe they are a fan of Green Lantern. Don't most band names have some story behind it? If you don't like it don't listen to it, simple as that.

The song is about the summers they remember & kickball so the video has a kickball theme unlike ADTR,and there friend Chuck that moved away. They dont even sound like the Wonder Years, you just said them because they are pop punk to try and get people to agree with you. The band name is just a name, big deal. These guys bring so much energy live its fantastic, but how would you know? You just watched the video.

And I don't mean he tries to be Soupy style wise, I mean vocal wise. The band even tries to copy Soupy's unique style of lyrics. The Blink riff is from one of the Anthems I think.

If you are into this genre of music it wouldn't hurt to go to their page and check out their other songs. All of their songs are different in ways. They are an unsigned band. Their sound will probably change.

TWY is very close to NFG too you know. It seems like they have a decent amount of local support. If it's not your thing then that's fine, but don't judge a book by it's cover.

@OutofNoWhere14 ofcourse i heard these songs. i even saw adtr live 2 weeks ago and adtr is way more brutaler. XD they use sreams a bit more breakdowns. i find that this band doens't sound anything like the general adtr. okay i'm made out of wax is a song in this genre but that doens't mean that they were first with the idea. and i just wana say stop complaining. this is a genre that is that popular. so every band that makes this music and succeeds deserves respect.
