Marica battle 1371 was beginning of Ottoman rule, Serbian Despotate finally collapsed in 1459, first Serbian free state was formed in 1804, and Kosovo, Raska, Metohija and Macedonia were liberated in 1912. So it was more likely from 1371-1912 when you talk about Serbs in general and 1459-1804 if you talk about Serbia

No religion is superior to any other. Orthodox Christianity was born out of opposition to the Western Church, but aside from speaking Greek, Coptic, Armenian, Old-Slavic , Assyrian or Georgian...there's little ideological difference between Orthodox Christianity and the Roman Church(Catholicism).
