Are pieces of cartiledge used in "lifting" or making the bridge more projected? Ir, would a surgeon have to chisl the bone to make the bridge more defined? Or a combination of both? I would like work done or my bridge but want to know the procedures that surgeons use.

Can i just ask what if the anesthetic doesnt work and you wake up halfway through the surgery?

and also Do you HAVE TO take other cartilages from your ears etc. in order for you to reduce the size of your bridge?

@cellistforever : Ive just had a rhino surgery. The anesthetic DOES work. There are a few times you can be (i was) slightly conscious in the procedure, however you never feel anything. Youre so tired ( due to the anasthetic) its not like you can react anyway. If you need extra cartilage then obviously it will be taken from another part of your body, although not necessarily the ears. mine was just behind the ear/top of the neck.

I was so interested in biology at school, but could never do it because I can't stand scenes such as the one above. It ruined a chance for me in biology; I was great at the theory part - always an A grade, but when it came to practical stuff, I couldn't even so much as look at a sheep's heart when we did dissections.

I have had camera operators pass out during surgery and others who can;t get close enough and want to know everything I'm doing. The reactions span the scale.

Hopefully you were able to find a way to apply you skills without having to look inside. If it makes you sick there is nothing you can do to change that. I hope the video did not make you sick.
