I loved godzilla as a kid but as an adult i loved gamera more... Godzilla is ok and all but his to powerfull... While gamera is a opportunist... He will do what he can to win... Like shown in his movies... And i like the thrill in his fights... :)

gamera is back again! =D oh yeah! gamera movies are from 1965 to 2006 and godzilla movies are like from 1954 to 2004. They are sooooo antique but, Godzilla and gamera movies rock! I hope they make new daikaiju movies! 'cuz iwould love to watch them!

OK guys, lets stop going by personal opinion and go with logic: Gamera is alot shorter than Godzilla, and it has been proven in Godzilla movies, that only kaiju that are bigger than Godzilla (Such as Destoroyah and Ghidorah) are capable of either beating, or standing up to Godzilla. Granted Gamera can fly and shoot fireballs, but Godzilla is Immune to most attacks, including incendiary, so the fireballs probably won't do much.

@femoman a monster doesnt have to be bigger than godzilla to give him a beating. Gigan beats the livving daylight out of him in godzilla vs gigan. And Gamera cant die. If he dies he can be brought back by a little bit of fire. Godzilla can just plain heal. so Why dont you use common sence and accept the fact that neither one would win.

Gamera's also vulnerable to artillery shells and missiles in this version. He's a great monster, but he doesn't have the stamina that Godzilla has. Godzilla can take almost anything that you throw at him.

One more thing; I've read about the size ratios between the cities models for Godzilla & for Gamera in 'G-Fan' magazine. According to them, Godzilla would be nearly 1/3 larger than Gamera. Hand to hand(claw?) would look silly. Gamera couldn't lift Godzilla(tho' Id like to see it! Maybe Ga' ignites all 4 rockets & barely lifts Go'. Once in motion, Ga' manages to drop Go' off a cliff! But Go' grabs hold at the last second & both crash into the sea, ala Kong & Go'. They both go thier seperate ways

If they 'really' met, Godzilla would out power Gamera(Make no mistake, I like Gamera MORE as a kid! I'm just looking at things logically.) To be fair, Gamera's flight would be an advantage. I can see him swooping in & knocking Go' over. I might accept the idea that Gamera could absorb Go's power or perhaps the his atomic blasts, but not Go's concusive power pulse. Ga's 'Earth Manna' power were dumb & NOT ancient race scientific. In 'Gardian', he came across as thermovoric in nature. Godz' wins.

GREAT film! Since its also a Hesies era film, I prefer to compare Gamera to THAT Godzilla(Beside, the Hesie Era was the most consistant & told the most realistic stories{except for the dismal 'Go' vsSpace-Godzilla' with its DUMB title...}). Godzilla marches FOWARD taking on all comers. Gamera's bravery rivals Godilla's, but it took ONE S.A.M. to knock Ga' out of the sky. Ga' needs help to heal. Go' has instant healing! Go's powers are consistant where as Ga's change every movie. Not cool. MORE>
