  • Mazda is some shit. I had a Mazdspeed protege, was sick on corners but needed more power. Had to do too much to get more power, then rods go through block. This is how that car should have been

  • @MrStlover99 Any one into mazads could of told you to replace your rods before going for big gains in a MSP the rods are there weakness!

  • @joeyf0487 Was saying that, I was mazda trchniccian. maybe i worded it wrong

  • very cool man check out mine let me kno what you think? keep up the good work!

  • those rims = blue whale sex on the beach.

  • for the love of god im so proud to be a owner of a mazda=]

  • This guy is street unit mark. It is a built motor fully forged as he did a writeup with pics of it. HUGE turbo. I'm pretty sure this was back in the day before CP-e broke through the "wall" the ECU's had for like, ever. They were the first. I'm pretty sure COBB also eventually broke through it. Before, the wall was like 370 - 400 I think, nobody could make power over that. Huge turbo's, built, fully bolted, meth, nitrous, didn't matter what you threw at it.

  • @shpankey You are right about that bro. I have a ported turbo fully bolted MS3 and I'm stuck at 284 because of fuel. With fuel I should be at 320fwhp. The MZR 2.3 disi is a harder motor to modify than the other platforms I'm working on (2JZ and the LS6 which both can make big power just by sneezing on them.

  • @shpankey haha, cpe never had to break a wall. you dont have to crack as much with a piggyback as you do with a direct ecu flash. The piggyback has the ability, or should if its any good, to create whatever signals it wants to get whatever outputs the end user desires. now cobb was the on to break a wall.

(not talking about the fuel cut flashes or anything cpe offers...)

  • anyone else see the flame/intake pop when he let off?

  • @black96fire I saw it! :-)

  • Wow... just wow.... I believe this is a fully built motor I saw in the forums... It's now being pieced out and the owner bought a M5, LOL. I still love my MS6

  • @tropmonky no that was yoichi, he had a fully built gt28 at final set up.

this is streetunit mark with a top mount turbo, i believe gt40 but who the hell knows. afaik its still together

  • Is this car still running? Any more videos to share?

  • 0:31

notice the way it torqued up and backed right off again ? hmm

  • ditto what bockie said... nothing about what was actually done to the car... @ 26 PSi its gotta be forged internals! bigger turbo? FMIC? etc etc... gotta be FMIC with that hood open...

  • what kinda of aftermarket parts do you have on it?

  • GT40 and the other vid I saw was someone using a GT35R and you guys still cant make power. Instead of putting on big turbos that are barely even streetable try some mods to actually support like a 50 trim and try extracting all the power out of it before going to something that should be a track only turbo.

  • @WFOGVR4 Every turbo has been tuned and tuned to try and extract all the power possible. Tuned using all the tuning products available. Nothing has worked so teh only option is to go bigger.

  • @WFOGVR4 whats it matter? its his car.. Street Unit is testing various turbos and finding out what combo goes well together.. so why bust there balls? they are helping out the mazda community.. i dont see you doing SHIT to help out .. so just be chill brah!!

  • Car is sexy as hell

    WRX Owner

  • open wastegate? why the fire at the end of the run?

  • Sounds Dope Man!. Sick Whip

  • what's going on at 38-39 seconds??

  • There must be forged internals available for your car. With the amount you put into the turbo and other work, I'm sure it wouldn't be too hard to pull together another $2,000 or so for forged internals to push past the 400awhp (or maybe even 500awhp) mark =D! I'd love to see the first 2.3 DISI to break the 500whp mark.

  • That happened long ago. Hell there are regular 2.3L's pushing over 500whp

  • @NINKUMPOOP....you think he would have put all that work into his car without forging the internals? come on

  • own one, love it, and would buy another - meaning have two :)

I'm just a clutch replacement away from turbo shopping

  • what was that small spark near your intake when they let off?

  • that "small" spark that shit picked up the part w.e is on it......to me it looks like somethin blew...but idk

  • man where its coming from it almost looked like it fired back through the intake manifold or intercooler....that was some wild shit...

  • You know as big as GT40 is shouldn't it make alot more power than that?

    I've seen a GT2871r make 360awhp on 22psi

  • Yeah it should but the mazdaspeed 3/6 ECU is a mystery still. Getting past 350 "safely" is quite an accomplishment.

  • yeah, lots of hacks still trying to figure out how to tune DI

  • I wana see a speed6 hit 400awhp! Very nice!
