the person in the poster is Hoffman , it was confirmed by officials . Jill Tuck electrocutes him in his chair at the end of SAW VI and puts him in a reverse bear trap . Which was built for his execution, however he gets out . The film ends of Hoffman with his cheek torn apart screaming. He will appear in SAW VII but his survival is unknown . No word yet on the return of Dr.Gordon but the directors/writers are seemingly putting deliberate clues within the films don't you think?

There is a video here on youtube where someone finds a description to what sounds like saw 6 and Dr. Gordon returning (mentioning one foot and that the doctor is in). Another character from the movies thats gonna be in it is Amanda, the first hour of gameplay is detective Tapp trying to find his way to Amanda to save her, although its just a plot between her and jigsaw so she can keep you in check as you go through the abandoned insane asylum. Another thing to point out is that someone in a pig mask follows Amanda for an unknown reason during the game, could be Gordon I think.
I've never heard any theory to do with Daniel, but now that the saw series has concluded we all know that it wasn't him.....
