@habesha619 When you watch a cigar roller at work, you can appreciate that while it's hard and repetitive, and underpaid, which is certainly unfair, but that it is also a highly skilled art and far removed from slave labour. I have watched a roller at work and noticed he often paused to shake his hands loose. I asked him if he had problems with his wrists and fingers and he replied, yes sometimes a lot of pain. So there are OSH issues surrounding cigar making as well.

@supersecretninjame:in regards to filling w/ weed they may not know the diff.btwn real and maufactured cigars, but I think they are seeing a leaf wrapped cigar like the video and relate it to green/natural leaf DutchMaster or GarciayVega cigars. In those manufactured cigars there is an inner processed paper filled w/ground tobacco which is then wrapped in a natural leaf; to roll you remove tip, unravel the leaf (wrapped just as in video/handmade cigars), crack the inner paper, replace tobacco

Because of this there are 2 ways I have rolled them w/weed to avoid what ninjame points out as not fun/logical(which is true if it were to be rolled or re-rolled with all those tobacco leaves). Once unraveling the outside usually you can find a portion(s) of tobacco leave(s) that are big enough to roll, the key being usingONE tobacco leaf portion (out of the many) to roll your weed, this takes a little skill and usually does not turn out pretty and does not need to

@supersecretninja....be, the function is to have the weed in a form where it can be wrapped (since you can't just wrap an outside leaf around a bunch of marijuana buds as you can tobacco leaves and have a functional cigar). Now that you have this form (which is comparable to the inner processed paper of the manufacture cigars i mentioned) you can wrap it with the outer leaf which will secure and hold the form. 2nd way-if the cigars outer leaf is large enough roll your weed with that as you would

This takes some skill because the outer leaf is soft and doesn't have a form that is easy to roll with, even once rolled the blunt will be flimsy compared to a rolled philly blunt, but to me this is my favorite/preferred method. A natural leaf from a decent cigar maker who chooses leaves based on flavor/aroma/smoking qualities.

It depends on the cigar's wrapper/strength. The really light ones with Connecticut wrappers or especially Candela wrappers don't change much at all with age. Habano or Maduro wrapped cigars will get a richer more complex flavor, but it all depends on your personal tastes.

@johnr1031 No, it would not be "like a gift from god." Long filler cigars and marijuana blunts are entirely different to roll because marijuana blunts are composed entirely of "short filler." The marijuana buds are broken up; preferably ground into very fine pieces. They're not long filler (ie - massive cigar tobacco leaves) like you find in all premium cigars. Purely short filler based cigars usually have the "cancer paper" which holds the short filler together so a wrapper leaf can be applied.

@mindsmirror rolling cigar style might work if you used marijuana leaves. Depending on the size of the leaves you would probably end up with something shorter and thinner than a good tobacco cigar.

@johnr1031 It would actually be impossible to roll a marijuana blunt using this exact technique. It has to be rolled using a blunt wrap, which is not gradually rolled up the length of the cigar in a "barber pole" shape, but is instead rolled like you roll cigarettes. Now, on top of the blunt binder, you could put an aesthetic wrapper like the one he does, but the initial binder would have to be done using the standard blunt method and it is entirely foreign to the way this man rolls.
