To say that a procedure is worthless forever because not everyone can access it now is misguided. Heart and kidney transplants used to be only available to the very privileged (All of the early cases still died). Now, in 1st world countries, they are available based on need. This was only possible because rich people effectively paid to pioneer the procedures. In capitalist societies medical procedures take time before they are available to the less privileged.

My son had been diagnosed at age 7 with DDD (dense deposit disease) also known as MPGN Type II . For 11 years under the care of nephrologists in the USA, he was treated with many immuno suppresants but thank goodness we did not allow the use of prednizone steroid therapy which is something the doctors constantly told my ex wife and I was necessary. I think more work needs to be done to help people of average or low income get treatment. What use is this science if no one can afford the treatment?

My mother died of kidney failure, she was in the working class bracket. She died because the kidneys were given to rich upper-middle class people even thoug she was ahead of them in line. Us worthless workers can just die I guess.

CoQ10 has a lot of potent effects, some known but a lot of its benefits by unknown mechanisms. This is a very safe approach

You omitted the figure with the growth factor secretion...the fact that the mesenchymal stem cells produce growth factors that assist in regeneration is more important than the fact that they produce interleukin 10.

Kidney's also have endogenous stem cells. It may be that the mesenchymal stem cells being given actually activate or synergize with the endogenous stem cells inside the kidney. Great discussion
