That's kind of a horrible suspension set up for going that fast.

Try lowering it and sticking some 50 or 60 weight shock oil in. It will NEVER flip.

@mungomillion : I've done the lowering route, however that defeats the purpose of an off road stadium truck. I prefer to keep it stock so I can go over any surface.

If you duct tape the inside of the tire it keeps it from ballooning up.

@johng321ify push the tires inside out and then wash them, if you don't wash them the tape won't stick, once they are washed and fully dried you just take a single layer of duct tape and stick it to the tire so that it goes all the way around and touches the other side of the tape but does not overlap.

i have a bruhsless bandit and it was working perfect until today... it doesnt turn when u tell it to sometimes and also as soon as u plug a battery in a light comes on on the esc wihtout me even pushing the button. acceleration works fine but the steering cuts in and out, can some one please tell me how to fix. i think it mght have something to do with esc because power goes into it from the battery wihtout me even pushing the ez button. im running nimh and lipo . please reply and help me.:(

the traxas rustler vxl is way better and fster than the slash because it is brushless and the slash has a titan 550 motor and xl5 speed control. the velineon that comes stock with the rustler is brushless meaning aster, no maintnence, and the vxl esc has more options.

@TheRandon55 5000 mah is the same as 5 ah (prefix milli- is 1000) and mAh or ah refers to the capacity of the battery. Voltage is the electrical force it can produce. I dont know about the 3s, i tried looking it up, all i found is that its the design of the battery.

Honestly the best bet is to go into your local hobby shop and see what parts they have more of...that way if you hit something or break it, it's just a quick drive to fix instead of having to order parts.

If both are stock Traxxas rates the Jato at 65 mph+ and the Rustler VXL at 70 mph+ with 31/76 gearing and a 3s 20c Lipo (with reverse). I am using a 3s 30c lipo and it wheelies uncontrollably with the gearing I mentioned. 70 mph. is faster than 65 mph. last I checked. One thing for sure is brushless will out accelerate nitro any day. I have both. That's not to say nitro doesn't have it's advantages. I like the sound, the smell and the fact that it attracts more of a crowd. I went to brushless

They've got 2 different 8000 3s lipos...one that's 80/120 amps (blue label) and the bigger 120/160 amps (yellow label)...both are good but get the bigger one if you can.

I have the same thing happen....usually means the slipper clutch on your spur is too tight. Try loosening it just a bit.

yeah, It was designed for OFF road, just see what Its a truck with spins at rear tires. I ran all my electric cars on dirt, grass and street without problems. If you say grass is bad I could say street is bad cause better grip ruins your transmission ...

grass is like trying to drive through a sponge. if it's tall grass, you're working it harder to plow through it. by all means it's more than capable though, and rustlers who cares they last forever. what i kind of meant was that it drains the battery faster on grass.

yup...it was built for off-road & cut grass...for running it on-road you should get the Traxxas anacondas like this video. The stock tires are meant for competitive dirt track driving.

Well most of us really push our cars and have geared them very high, creating a lot of heat in the ESCs,so having that fan on it really helps keeping the temps down...I've got them on both my VXL systems.

Right on...I've lowered my gearing to 23/83 to be safe. Your fine as long as the motor stays below 200 degrees. The speed control has thermal protection. If you can, find a temp gauge...can be as low as 20 bux. T
