You obviously have ak experience, and have probably damn near mastered marksmanship with an ak. Im just saying, to the average less skilled shooter, i used to be able to hit something way easier with ar opposed to the ak. And yes, as you already know well, they're damn near indestructible, especially in respect to the ar. And ammo helps, but as you know, they cycle anything

The Wasr 10 go for around 400 here (not the highest quality) where you can get an amazing russian ak for around 800 new (american currency). A decent ar15 is roughly 900 U.S.
@fah369 No, the barrel is longer on a 74 and the butt stock is different. I just liked the way the muzzel looked, that's all. It does nothing different when you fire it.
@TheTurtlehead also, aren't AK-74 iron sights often different? They probably can be the same, but from what I usually see, the AK-47 always seem to have the classic elevation part on the rear sights.
I have gotten my wasr-10 that hot as well...its the nitrogen in the air burning off the barrel...my barrel was a white as a ghost after shooting a 1000rd case in about 10 to 15 minutes of semi-auto fire..one 30rd mag after the other..33 in all...the thing is built like a swiss watch...just keeps on ticking...
@MetalHeavens14 really? I watch an M4 fire off 27 mags in a row before failing completely and even then the gun kept firing it just didnt cycle because the gas tube melted, I think if u melt the gas tube on any gun itll stop tho.

Not a bad rig if it's a solid WASR. I have a similar setup on my beater AK for hog and gator hunting, except with the RPK-style slot brake. (I have a modern Arsenal rig for range shooting.)

there great rifles for the money but they are about the bottom of the pit of AK's except IMO there isnt a bad AK its just one of the few AK's i prefer that I own my AR over. WASR 10 not the 10/63 are common to have a canted front sight mag wobble and trigger slap and also the bolt can stick sometimes almost like a fake bolt catch. Still would prefer one over my AR for a mud gun

@Dgaf82 No damage at all. I have run almost 1000 rounds within a couple of hours and it's held together just fine. Those guns are built to run rough like a late 60's muscle car
@TheTurtlehead Yeah but you really do damage to your barrel abusing it like that, no big deal if you're only using it for shooting, but if you thought you might ever seriously need it, I would recommend buying another rifle or a spare barrel.
To me, when "Hell frezzed over" the only weapon I like to have as my best friend would be the legendary AK-47. More and more shooter in USA come to appreciate the AK for its reliable. The more the comsumer understand the "Devil"'s guns the more they like it! and you can have it from the very cheap to the very expensive custom AK-47 or 74. I personally love the AKS-74U. Just an awesome assult rifle!

@TheTurtlehead personally, I own an Ak-47 and I love it, but I will be the first to say it is definitely not the best assault rifle of all time. The VZ-58 (not the best, just an example) blows the Ak away in user friendliness (you can actually retain the magazine quickly like an ar *aka, tactical reload* , ammo management (additional stripper clip capability for quick topping off during lulls of fire so you dont need to carry only large bulky magazines) and reduced muzzle climb.

Mossada AR (ACR from MW2 for all those who dont care enough to find out) which can be made into an AK Imitating model (i.e it both fires the round and is 2x as reliable as the AK, plus it feels like holding an M16 but with ambidextrous controls) so add AK cheapness and reliability coupled with all that I mentioned had the Mossada been in that episode it woulda been the top AR.

I have seen people hit with AKs at 500m. And not from the bench, but from prone.
I have never had any problems with any of the AK's I have owned out to 300m on a 12"x12" steel plate from any stance. Yes AR-15 are better in the long range area, but as an infantry rifle the AK, or the AR will serve anyone trained to use it well.

Most battles happen within 300 meters. The Kalashnikov is designed to hit a man sized target at that range. I have a Russian AK-103 it is very accurate, so go research what you think you know before you write an ignorant run-on sentence on youtube.

@esh325 I ran into a guy who converted a .38 super pistol to use a 32 cal bullet and used brass from a .223 cut down to make the rounds like they do with the .44 or 357 automag. That was an intriguing solution I thought. I dont know the balistics of the round but I did get to fire the gun. It seemed right on par with my .357 sig

How many moving parts has AK , how many AR/M ?
Accuracy is very same for any range . I was shooting AK47 200 meters targer about 6 inches diameter .
99% was in target .
AK may shoot under water , when you drop AK in mud , just take garden hose with wather and flash it .
I have exact AK47 I have had in army ( I was not in American Army ) and I trust my gun .
I know will never stock , never misfire .
I use Russian ammo .

To me, when "Hell frezzed over" the only weapon I like to have as my best friend would be the legendary AK-47. More and more shooter in USA come to appreciate the AK for its reliable. The more the comsumer understand the "Devil"'s guns the more they like it! and you can have it from the very cheap to the very expensive custom AK-47 or 74. I personally love the AKS-74U. Just an awesome assult rifle!

@ryderp1999 ur right on some points such as the AK 47 isnt tthat accurate but the AK 47 is still very commonly used by many countries just not the U.S. and Canada to name a few but if one of those bullets hit u ur fucked and they can go through most materials that say an M16 can't which is commonly used by U.S. troops.

@TheTurtlehead personally, I own an Ak-47 and I love it, but I will be the first to say it is definitely not the best assault rifle of all time. The VZ-58 (not the best, just an example) blows the Ak away in user friendliness (you can actually retain the magazine quickly like an ar *aka, tactical reload* , ammo management (additional stripper clip capability for quick topping off during lulls of fire so you dont need to carry only large bulky magazines) and reduced muzzle climb.

@TheTurtlehead only because of how inexpensive it was and its reliability while dirty, UNTIL MAGPUL INDUSTRIES TM. Mossada AR (ACR from MW2 for all those who dont care enough to find out) which can be made into an AK Imitating model (i.e it both fires the round and is 2x as reliable as the AK, plus it feels like holding an M16 but with ambidextrous controls) so add AK cheapness and reliability coupled with all that I mentioned had the Mossada been in that episode it woulda been the top AR.

By the way, its codename was the MASADA, not the Mossssaddddaa, or however the fuck you tried to spell it, when it was still a Magpul project. It is officially called the ACR now, since production rights were bought off by Bushmaster (Civilian side) and Remington (Military side). Adaptive Combat Rifle.

@TheJrotckid The Masada(ACR) isn't as reliable as an AK. I've had my hands on it, and the tolerances are a bit too tight for that. It is a very cool rifle I'll give it that.

I have seen people hit with AKs at 500m. And not from the bench, but from prone.
I have never had any problems with any of the AK's I have owned out to 300m on a 12"x12" steel plate from any stance. Yes AR-15 are better in the long range area, but as an infantry rifle the AK, or the AR will serve anyone trained to use it well.

@ryderp1999 Yeah its such a joke that it has killed more people than any other weapon in history. Most combat in real wars happen within the AKs firing range of 300m. So the idea that you are just going to "go far away" as my "enimie" (spelled enemy) is unfounded. But at that point, even if you did, I have an FN FAL in .308 for you too.

Most battles happen within 300 meters. The Kalashnikov is designed to hit a man sized target at that range. I have a Russian AK-103 it is very accurate, so go research what you think you know before you write an ignorant run-on sentence on youtube.

@esh325 I ran into a guy who converted a .38 super pistol to use a 32 cal bullet and used brass from a .223 cut down to make the rounds like they do with the .44 or 357 automag. That was an intriguing solution I thought. I dont know the balistics of the round but I did get to fire the gun. It seemed right on par with my .357 sig
