I find this to be a misleading video. Who cared enough to take care of the dog while it was on the streets? Did anybody bother to feed it? The dog did not die of starvation. It was a stray taken off the street and was only put on exhibition for three hours. Above the dog words were written in dog food saying "Eres Lo Que Lees" meaning: "you are what you read". It was supposed to portray dogs starving in the street, but no one cares. The dog was fed regularly and then released. After allegations about the dog starving, investigations went underway, but no evidence was ever found of the dog starving to death.

YOU ARE WHAT YOU READ was written in dog food on the wall; the crowd was capable of giving the dog food or at least set it free from the gallery yet they didn't. You're able to feed and shelter any dog on the street but you don't. No one would have cared for this dog if it wasn't for the exhibit and even when it was in the exhibit no one cared enough to do something. Why care about this one dog if you don't care about all other dogs on the street?

The difference between this dog and others on the street is it's death was forced. It's an act of cruelty by a human, not just some stray dog on the street.

In one story, they claimed the animal was fed regularly. But does that dog honestly look well fed to you? Lol. Even the artist, when questioned, refused to say what happened to the dog. He also noted "no one tried to free the dog, give it food, call the police, or do anything for the dog" which is contradictory to the story.

This is fact, which would mean that this video is, in fact, a lie. The dog was not kept for more than 3 hours, and escaped the museum.
Vargas found the dog shortly before the exhibit, meaning that the dogs condition was in no way the result of this exhibit; the dog was a stray starving on the streets.

I find this to be a misleading video. Who cared enough to take care of the dog while it was on the streets? Did anybody bother to feed it? No. And when the artist who by the way did not starve the dog, pointed this out by means of putting the dog in a gallery then everybody goes into an uproar, everybody suddenly cares. FYI, the dog was fed regularly before being released.

If you people actually did some real research and found out the truth, you would find that the dog did NOT die, was fed at regular intervals and only exhibited for the three hours the exhibition was open, after this it escaped while it was being fed. This dog did die! And even if he didn't, this shouldn't have been okay! This so called arist took this dog in and put dog food way up above this starving dog on the wall so the dog could be teased! I know the facts, so don't even try to prove me wrong. The dog did get captured but died shortly after. It was MURDER MURDER MURDER and the artist and art gallary director should be held fully responsible for their actions! They brought it in and tied it up and stood by and let it starve!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The dog did not die of starvation. It was a stray taken off the street and was only put on exhibition for three hours. Above the dog words were written in dog food saying "Eres Lo Que Lees" meaning: "you are what you read". It was supposed to portray dogs starving in the street, but no one cares. The dog was fed regularly and then released. After allegations about the dog starving, investigations went underway, but no evidence was ever found of the dog starving to death.

The dog didnt die it in the exhibit for 3 hours. YOU ARE WHAT YOU READ was written in dog food on the wall; the crowd was capable of giving the dog food or at least set it free from the gallery yet they didn't. You're able to feed and shelter any dog on the street but you don't. No one would have cared for this dog if it wasn't for the exhibit and even when it was in the exhibit no one cared enough to do something. Why care about this one dog if you don't care about all other dogs on the street?

If you do a bit of research you would see that the dog wasn't kept in the exhibit for very long and escaped shortly afterward. This video is misinformed and misleading. The dog did not starve to death in the museum. The dog was put back on the street.
Why does a dog need to be put on a exhibit for you to pay attention to it anyway?
If the dog had been left on the street, you wouldn't look twice.

@Aupas I am majoring in art and have taken courses in Art Appreciation, where we went in dept about this exhibit and what its purpose was. In any case, the dog did not die in the museum. This is fact, which would mean that this video is, in fact, a lie. The dog was not kept for more than 3 hours, and escaped the museum.
Vargas found the dog shortly before the exhibit, meaning that the dogs condition was in no way the result of this exhibit; the dog was a stray starving on the streets.

Facts, please, not hysteria:
The director of the gallery stated that the animal was FED REGULARLY and was only tied up for THREE HOURS on ONE DAY before it escaped.
Upon conducting a probe, the Humane Society of the United States found that the dog was starving when it was captured and escaped after one day of captivity.
Is it right to use an animal in an 'art' exhibit? Absolutely not. Was this dog chained up until it collapsed and died in front of apathetic onlookers? No, it wasn't.

Obviously, the artist wanted to convey a message, and a pretty powerful one at that. Do you think people were paying any attention to that dog (or most strays, for that matter) when it was on the streets? Probably not. But once visible in the art-gallery, it stirs up controversy. Habacuc wants you to be outraged. He's trying to draw your attention to the matter. The issue isn't Habacuc. He's just trying to point out the real issue--the millions of strays that go unnoticed.
