It is funny, but many tracks from DFA and even MSTRKRFT reminds me of D.A.F. and even early Nitzer Ebb. It's the same concept: a bassline that is played through the whole song, intense drumming and aggressive vocals. For instance, listen to "Verschwende deine jugend" by DAF and you'll hear the similarities.

@p1zzab0x Jesse F Keeler (bassist) went with Al-P and made MSTRKRFT and Sebastian Grainger went on to do his solo album and a few others. The saddest thing is, though, there is no clue or any sign on the horizon that these guys will ever reunite. They made only one album, a b-sides and rarities compilation, and two EPs, one being live. Not enough in their catalog to make notice....still, though, at least we have that which was said.

I guess these guys are still alright, but more as a novelty to me than as a band I would listen to on my iPod.
