@rake330 this was actually one of the later episodes of justice league unlimited (Season 4 - Episode 13 - Epilogue). if you like batman beyond, you should look it up!
they gotta stop making bruce's follower another white guy. 3 robins, all white guys. 2 replacement batmans, (azrael and batman beyond) both white guys. really it's time for some diversity. at least azrael didn't have dark hair and btw he was by far the most badass of all batman's replacements. no one was crazier.
Whats funny of all the Side kicks that Bruce wayne has ever had in this Universe,
Dick Grayson left to become nightwing after there Differences, Tim Drake Left after becoming Joker Jr, and Barbara left to be in her fathers Footsteps and now holds things against Bruce. Terry is the only one to stay as Batman even though the truth of this life is hard to take in, he excepts the fact that he is the Son and destined to be Batman.
@griz312 I respectfully disagree as I believe this scene weakens the series, the original batman beyond never tried this sort of thing because it was supposed to show that it was strength of character that put terry in that role, not genetics, and this undermines that whole concept.

It be awesome that after the flying scene that they show us Terry and Diana in the future and the future robin :D or Terry at bruce waynes funeral. :D
Hold on. I used to watch Batman Beyond and Bruce was not Terri's father. Unless there was some big revealtion after the show went off the air. Terri's father got killed by the Joker's in the first episode.
@cancerman50 you have to see the first part of this episode to understand how he end up bieng Bruce son. I think this episode is from the justice league
See the Justice League Unlimited Episode called Epilogue. it was suppose to be the last episode of that series hence why it was called Epilogue and the ending of this goes back to Batman TAS first episode On Leather Wings this show ends like that episode starts, It is where Bruce Timm started on all these projects back in the 90's.
But the series got another season at the last minute.
@coldbleach0 You know he was in highschool during Batman Beyond thats why he was skinnier and pretty sloppy in the detective work. Its the animators way of showing that Terry is a adult now and has grown in the Batman.
@opiumthoughts You're right about that. I get that this is adult Terry and that he is the heir of Bruce. Though in my opinion, what made Terry so...unique was that unlike Bruce, and the other heroes like Superman and the Lanturns, he was skinny. Something, not counting the flash, that was a bit uncommon....though that doesn't mean this look doesn't work for him.
@Leukhendian batman beyond, its about Bruce Wayne getting this guy called Terry Mcginlis to be the new batman basically. Ties in alot to Batman the animated series and The Justice League series as they follow the same timeline.
I'm a little annoyed by the physical revamp of McGinnis here since he looks close to the same as Clark Kent - albeit with more dark hair - but the personality I'm fond of, and the fact that they kept Dana in. I love that they truly strove to make Terry a separate Batman.
@SorceressZila well time has passed since he was younger so it would make he would beef up alot. Bruce probably would have made terry train to human limits. when a person pop out of the darkness and throws you up against a wall he the guy is BUILT thats intimodating vs a skinny guy.
@ibravosp5 - it's pretty unclear. personally, i think he might be, but the effects of the rewrite could be temporary. Waller hired the Phantasm to recreate the events that lead Bruce to become Batman, so Matt wasn't even intended to be born.
@ibravosp5 The odd's are in favour of Matt behind Bruce's genetic son as well. Terry's mum and dad are both red head's I think. It's a long ball for a genetic throw back on Matt's part. Possible, but again, odd's are in favour of the genetic rewrite being long lasting
@KrazyStoopid Justice league unlimited but this episode is sort of like the final episode to another batman cartoon called Batman beyond which is actually the future after the orginal batman the animated series and the new batman adventures and justice league
The story told in this episode deserved to be fleshed out into a movie, I feel like not enough was explained abt what happened to everyone in the Batman Beyond Series or the DCAU, it was also sad to see Bruce in such a bad state knowing he spent his last few years alone
i do wish they would make another Batman Beyond Series. show us more of the older terry. how he has become the next greatest detective, how he dosen't need Bruce guiding him as much.
@guyrocksurworld101 he looks like that because more years passed since teenage terry.. like 18 years worth after high school i believe. heh its depressing getting old
They really could have went somewhere with that.... Could have made him the new Robin or something. The series ended a bit early for that though i guess.
1stcartoon I evr watchd was BTAMS. Since then I'v seen all the Batman cartoons&movies(xcept4 Brave&Bold; Hate it). And the 1thing I've noticed in them all is Batman NEVER dies. Sure he gets lost in time, is close to dying lots of times, is beaten, broken, evn changed in some toons or comics. BUT we never see him truly die. I knw lots of heros die and then comback, but even Superman either in comics or on tv was shown to die and not comeback. Not Batman, he'll never die.
@QandaharIsTheBomb The actual show that this episode is from is the justice league unlimited. Episode name: Epilogue. But the batman shown here is the one from batman beyond.
And it will continue with the world in Batman's capable hands.
For though Bruce Wayne was the first Batman, Batman is truly and ideal, an ideal that will never die, so long as people are willing to tread the darkness that evil loves to inhabit. So long as people are willing to stand up and face evil, and defeat it, then Batman will never die.
He shall live in the nightmares of criminals as justice where there was none before.
Because in the end, we all know that batman, is more than just a pop culture symbol, he is a symbol of hope in a world where there seems to be no peace, not only is he the hero we deserve, he is the hero who lives in all of us,
@namodrive777 Exactly, these heroes shouldn't just be enterainment, they should be examples. Our models that we should strive to be like. Batman is perhaps the most popular now because we can all empathize with him, because he lost almost everything to tragedy but he pulled himself out of it and became a great man.
He has suffered throuigh almost every trgedy one can imagine, he lost his family, friends and just about every woman he had ever loved, despite his inner torment, he still helps the innocent such as the time he sat with ace before her death, firther showing how human he is. I beileve that is why Batman is the most recognized figure of the DC universe because unlike heroes like Superman ( no offense intended to super fans), who almost always get out of their situations A-ok Batman endures them al
@namodrive777 Once again, exactly! It's not only his lack of powers that makes him human, it's the fact that we all can empathize with him.
It's interesting but Bruce probably treasures life more than any other person in the DC Universe. And he's probably seen more death than a lot. Superman (no offense to fans) has to deal with men like Lex Luthor who are sane, Batman has to deal with the insane who have even less qualms about killing people.
I saw this when I was 14 and my mom was fighting cancer. When i saw this I knew the only way I could get through this mentally and spiritually was to be as strong as batman. It saved my life! Thank you Paul Dini and Bruce Timm.
@thedarkknight2221 Well I think super heroes were meant from the beginning to be role models. Batman is one of them. I think the creators would be proud to know Batman helped someone get through a rough time.

The DCAU began with Batman.

How'd I end up writing this!?

Because in the end, we all know that batman, is more than just a pop culture symbol, he is a symbol of hope in a world where there seems to be no peace, not only is he the hero we deserve, he is the hero who lives in all of us,
namodrive777 2 months ago
@namodrive777 Exactly, these heroes shouldn't just be enterainment, they should be examples. Our models that we should strive to be like. Batman is perhaps the most popular now because we can all empathize with him, because he lost almost everything to tragedy but he pulled himself out of it and became a great man.
LordGodsServant 2 months ago
He has suffered throuigh almost every trgedy one can imagine, he lost his family, friends and just about every woman he had ever loved, despite his inner torment, he still helps the innocent such as the time he sat with ace before her death, firther showing how human he is. I beileve that is why Batman is the most recognized figure of the DC universe because unlike heroes like Superman ( no offense intended to super fans), who almost always get out of their situations A-ok Batman endures them al
namodrive777 2 months ago
@namodrive777 Once again, exactly! It's not only his lack of powers that makes him human, it's the fact that we all can empathize with him.
It's interesting but Bruce probably treasures life more than any other person in the DC Universe. And he's probably seen more death than a lot. Superman (no offense to fans) has to deal with men like Lex Luthor who are sane, Batman has to deal with the insane who have even less qualms about killing people.
Batman is the best because he's the most human.
LordGodsServant 2 months ago
@LordGodsServant He's the most unhuman. Humanity is filled with destruction and chaos. He is not. Don't insult Batman! :P

@LordGodsServant How you end up writing that?..........

I saw this when I was 14 and my mom was fighting cancer. When i saw this I knew the only way I could get through this mentally and spiritually was to be as strong as batman. It saved my life! Thank you Paul Dini and Bruce Timm.

@thedarkknight2221 How's your mom? Is she okay?
10nyson 2 months ago
@10nyson She's better than she was then. It took time and patience but my mom survived. I don't know HOW I got through it but I did.
thedarkknight2221 2 months ago
@thedarkknight2221 Well I think super heroes were meant from the beginning to be role models. Batman is one of them. I think the creators would be proud to know Batman helped someone get through a rough time.
